« Reply #90 on: April 15, 2006, 07:37:00 PM »

since we are postng button configs for xmugen. here is mine. the buttons are setup this way.

on the xbox controllers:

X = LP
Y = MP

A = LK
B = MK

shoulder triggers;

L = HK
R = HP

now the code thats mapped to both controllers and with start being the taunt buttons. note: using the latest bzimages, the start buttons do not conflict with one another.

CODE

; P1 Key config (configurable from M.U.G.E.N)
[P1 Keys]
Jump   = 30

Crouch = 17

Left   = 16

Right  = 31

A      = 51

B      = 38

C      = 53

X      = 52

Y      = 39

Z      = 40

Start  = 28

; P2 Key config (configurable from M.U.G.E.N)
[P2 Keys]
Jump   = 18

Crouch = 19

Left   = 20

Right  = 21

A      = 22

B      = 25

C      = 24

X      = 23

Y      = 50

Z      = 32

Start  = 37

for all of you that want support for a unsupported stick, i need the vend/prod ID in order to add it.

hey alg5:

xmugen is coming along great, also along with the contributions from members of this forum. in the older thread i brought up the possiblility of the magicbox controller adapter working on xmugen [it gave a faulty hardware error]

im using beta 4 now and it works! however, it still give some errors and work in controller slot 2 only with a controller s in slot 1. if crashes if it is the only controller plugged in or if two of them are plugged in [in any case if no controller s is present]. here is what its saying now:

usb.c: unable to get device descriptor (error = -32)
hub.c: unable to get hub descriptor (error = -32)
hub.c: hub configuration failed for device #7
usb.c: USB device 7 (vend/prod 0xc12/0x9901) is not claimed by any active driver.

as mentioned, its better than the previous version but now it gives the faulty hardware and the above mentioned error.

hope it can be included eventually. thanks!

-rl2k.

the vend/prod id you gave are not in the kernel. i can add it if you want. but since the hardware is faulty, don't expect great result...

@ alg5: I will report back and let you all know how it worked out when you've made the inclusion. Keeping my fingers crossed it works properly.  Thanks!

I am not forsure what i have done wrong but something must gone wrong somewhere when i was updating...

I tried updating my mugen from *unknown* version to version four.

I have mugen folder in e:/ with two files and i have my mugen game into f:/mugen also with linuxboot.cfg in e:/

when i launch default.xbe in f:/mugen/ it will load but after a second my led colors start to flash multi colors.

the update is no good.
the last bzimage allowed me to use a 360 controller and  a nore xbox
controller , now there is no two player support.

and is there a way to map the trigger buttons for 360 controllers?

which last bzImage are you talking about ?
the one inside the beta4 ?
or one of the 3 i posted some days ago ?

Do midi files not work, or is there a setting that needs to be changed that I'm missing?

I posted this in the FAQ thread, but it looks like is this a more relevant place to put it, sorry.

 I am loading XMugen off of the HDD, and select FatX at the Gentoox screen. Linux says:

(Forgive the typos, I had to swap to composite cables to make it work and the res is difficult to read)

Adding Swap: 52420OK Swap Space (Priority -1)
bdah: Bad Access Block = 0, Count = 1
end request: I/O Error, dev 03:38 (hda), sector 0
Mount: Mounting /dev/hda56 on /cdrom failed: Invalid Argument
umount: /cdrom Invalid Argument
Mount: /dev/hda is write protected. Mount Read-Only
cdrom: open failed
mount: mounting /dev/hdb on /cdrom failed: No Medium
Kernel Panic: Attempted to Kill Init!

At this point the green light on the xbox blinks and it hangs forever. Any ideas?

I have a regular xbox, 64mb ram, etc. 1 S-Type controller plugged in, nothing fancy.

I also tried the irdloop.gz you linked above, with different yet similar results.  The newer one returned more lines about the CD Drive, and still crashed.  I can type that all out if you need it.

I am haveing the same problem does anyone know  how to fix the problem or did i messup some how. can someone help ?

looks like you 2 are trying to boot from cd/dvd. i think those 2 issues, "cdrom: open failed
mount: mounting /dev/hdb on /cdrom failed: No Medium" are related from loading mugen from a cd/dvd.
