The Xbox does not have enough RAM to support HDTV for Surreal.

I don't think the latest Rice plugin and the CVS surreal xxx is based on like each other. I haven't got 1 single game working properly (well, except mario 64) yet. You either end up with messed up graphics or (most of the time) a frozen black screen of death.

i thought i would give the new version a shot and ok, it is better in some way, but still i think 3.9 is the far better choice.

I do not understand why it ain't possible to have controllers 3 and 4 enabled by default since the latest few versions. It sucks having to enable them each time you start the emulator. At least in this release they work as in the past they didn't. In 3.9 handles this perfectly so i'm gonna stick with that one...sorry.

It is your choice smile.gif .
As for 4 players by default, if it doesn t cause any problems, why not smile.gif .
As said in the nfo this is a public beta, I just got rice 6.1.0 runngin and added it, now I am cleaning it for the xbox and I am maybe gonna replace the actual 1964 with last one released on PC (the source released, not the latest released without sources).

Its very nice to see you again Gogo! Love the new KiXXX EMU update. I did notice when the backgrounds are off, and in Orchids stage if the Barrels explode the EMU will slow down back to about 39fps. Do you plan on adding any cheat options like: always play on a certain stage, unlimited health and unlimited supers for Player one? Thanks

i got ki 1 to work but ki 2 just will not work...
i checked to see if i was missing any files, any curropt or damaged...
i have all the neccesary files for ki2.
but i got the .img from a site which is 400+mb...
i go to load it and it sounds like the system takes alot cause it slows down and the main menu just sticks.

i was wondering if anything, is there anything wrong with what im doing?

Hey guys, I made the moves lists for both KI1 and KI2. If you guys want them PM me and I can email them or something. I think they should get included in the next release if there is one. Or if some one has a way to host them that'd be even better. They're pretty detailed. They have the stages listed, how to play as gargos/eyedol, all of everyone's moves, and a few other things.

that would be great if you paued the game, and through the menu, you could pull up the .txt file of all the moves for KI and KI2. That would kick ass!

So am I to understand that this latest version of Surreal's only addition is the new Rice video plugin?  What does that do for compatibility?  I don't mean to sound ignorant here, but I really don't know.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

@gogo
sorry, this wasn't supposed to be a rant...  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
actually i really appreciate your dedication for the Nintendo lovers on xbox and i really like what i see so far, surreal is really great.

Should have been more of a suggestion. I think one of the great aspects about N64 games is that they let you play with 4 players on one screen, a feature too often not used in modern games. I think playing with a bunch of friends in front of 1 tv is much more fun than over live and alike. As we love to play micromachines and other party games  i think it would be great to have all 4 joypads enabled by default, so you don't have to enable them all the time...

and in fact i think updating it to 1.0 status would be awesome!

One idea I had for surreal would be to "star" what plug in works the best for what ever game you're playing.
Say you load a game, and you find the current plug-in works the best. You should be able to hit the right trigger and select an option to mark the plug-in, in a type of ini file. this way you don't have to remember which one works the best for every game.
And if I missed this option PLEASE tell me how to do it.

I've emailed a couple people the moves list for both games.
If other people want it just let me know.

Why not, for the moment, I am asking myself if it wouldn t be great to display some comments on the game like PJ64 on PC, but there aren't any ini file specificially done for surreal.
Well, after some test, rice 6.11 seems buggy like hell, I don t know where it comes from, but there seems to be a memory hole (like others I experienced missing textures in SSMB followed by a crash even if the ram free displayed stays at 15Mb).
