Hello guys, nice to meet you.
I'm a not professional Mugen creator, but I'm try to make a game since 2002.
I wanna try this WIP on the Box ( Xmugen) but ....
I have this same problem ( as same specifications on my Xbox):

QUOTE:
"I get past this, and the Linux thing begins to load. I am loading XMugen off of the HDD, and select FatX at the Gentoox screen. Linux says:

(Forgive the typoes, I had to swap to composite cables to make it work and the res is difficult to read)

Adding Swap: 52420OK Swap Space (Priority -1)
bdah: Bad Access Block = 0, Count = 1
end request: I/O Error, dev 03:38 (hda), sector 0
Mount: Mounting /dev/hda56 on /cdrom failed: Invalid Argument
umount: /cdrom Invalid Argument
Mount: /dev/hda is write protected. Mount Read-Only
cdrom: open failed
mount: mounting /dev/hdb on /cdrom failed: No Medium
Kernel Panic: Attempted to Kill Init!

At this point the green light on the xbox blinks and it hangs forever. Any ideas?

I have a regular xbox, 64mb ram, etc. 1 S-Type controller plugged in, nothing fancy."

ANd I still can't run it. There's a solution for it really ?
For example, a latest softmod , put more HDD to the console? Or just buy another Box ( My console is the 1.6 version as the technician told me ) .
Please ........ THX in advance.

QUOTE("r1sky")
aside from what guybird has released/edited/made/whatever. here is my version. has all the updates ive done.

theres 2 versions. e drive and f drive. i doubt i have to explain what the differences are. anyways.

they go into X:/Games/
1 gb swap file
has mfj screenpack set to doubleres4
speed tweaks
dvd loading merged (just find a tutorial/whatever to create the dvd)

pretty much, the whole thing is setup to work 100%. its already had lots of testing from new ppl and works great for them. this thing is all drag and drop. just upload the xmugen folder to your 'Games' folder and your good to go. just upload your characters and add them to the select.def.

anyways, i decided to use a external source to upload the files. i wont be messing with it anymore nor will i keep coming back to this forum smile.gif

For E drive: http://www.sendspace.com/file/b9gbj8

For F drive: http://www.sendspace.com/file/sxidc2

edit: i might release a screenpack addon but who knows. so here is a dvd creator addon. its my same setup from before. but you can extract this file anywhere on your hdd and copy over your xmugen setup and make a working dvd. once again, all drag and drop. just follow the readme included.

I would like to sort my characters by Genre/Game type. I am using the MFJ screenpack and the character bfile looks odd, there are about 10 BLANK icons, then about 15 Characters followed by more BLANKS. Then there is the ---------------- and then it starts again. Can some one explain this format or explain how to orgainze my characters with this SP

Thanks

Hi, I downloaded Xmugen from a site which was called Upload and was 1.55gb with a bunch of viruses but anyway....I have that version of Xmugen and I was wondering if there was a way to add more characters without making them appear over the character's Preview face? Perhaps, it's a different screenpack or something i'm missing? Any help if you even understand what i'm saying...lol

thanks

My XMugen youtube channel:

My complete Xmugen game for modded xbox made to run off e drive just drag and drop:

http://hosted.filefront.com/seanp2500

I believe alpha
s xmugen came stock to hold about 1,000 maybe (alpha's screenpack is hella cool good choice!) you would like kurumin or 10,000 EVE.  But remember with a little system.def editing you can make as many rows and columns as you want...

One question, does it have to be in E: ? and can I change it to F:?

It is purposefully set to e.  I discovered after awhile the xbox uses e to cache.  So e setups work much smoother.  But of course it can be changed.  There are also several f drive setups floating around.  I can provide one if needed then you would just swap the data chars stage and sound folder.   I would stay on e and try to use a top of the line upgraded large ide hd with high access rate/cache.  I think I got better gains from that than anything else I did along + mugen/cfg editing smart stage/sound choices....

Hi Sean,

My F mugen isn't working right. This one launches unleash-x as a front end first. Yours I think is different. I'd like to give your F setup a go if you have it. I already have the full E load from that link you provided so I already have the chars/sound/data/stage stuff. Thanks!

Understood.  Will try my best to get those files uploaded for you.  It may take some time sadly as I need to invest in a router.  Stupid vista pc I am using currently doesn't allow me to ftp to my xbox via a usb to ethernet adaptor I normally use..  Argh.  No drivers....Oh well.  There may even be a way to just edit that setup slightly.  I will check that too.  To be honest though robo you want to run this off e.  If you have a fat f I would simply make space on e by sending the stuff there to f.  It just runs better.
