Traffic Giant
Cedega 5.1
800x600

am trying to make age of wonder 2 work, hopefully i'll success (gotta find a properly nocd patch that works with xbox linux).
is there a way to config/remap second controller's key in gentoox so to be able to play any classic fps game or whatever that requires a keyboard (or keyboard/mouse combo) to play? i dont have a mouse/keyboard for xbox, that's why i list mostly tycoon/sim/hentai games, these genre can be used with a xbox controller only.

The BioWare Infinity Engine and the Interplay Fallout Engine are not the same thing. BioWare designed Infinity for Baldur's Gate with the Fallout Engine in mind. But they are different. The scripting language. Everything.

It seems that Fallout used an engine called the Fallout engine and that Baldur's Gate was the first game to use the Infinity engine.

Neat.  What about Fallout 2.  I'm not sure if the WINE gurus are already familiar with http://www.frankscorner.org  It it a compatibility list of the highest rigor, containing all sorts of fixes for individual games to make them run better in WINE.  Baldur's Gate itself requires two minor adjustments and then is said to play perfectly, for example.

Are you going to test any more games yourself for this list sili?

Without a doubt smile.gif I'm a bit of an abandonware whore so I've got a quite a few oldies to go through, as well as some ones ive gotten working over the last year or so to get the exact settings I used. I had some really good luck using xebian and nicer performance then i've seen in gentoox, but AFAIK there is no way to install xebian straight off the hdd(someone please correct me biggrin.gif). I just moved last weekend so most of my shit is still boxed up. I havent found my wireless kb and mouse for the xbox yet, nor most of my discs. Hopefully this week I'll be able to finish unpacking all of this, and get some real classics playing.

There are quite a few classics that run under dosbox(a little slow(7th guest, I have no mouth and I must scream, toonstruck,etc...)but somewhat playable) that i'd like to test in wine to see if they run smoother.

But to answer your question, yes. I eat, sleep and breathe this shit, I just wish I'd have made this thread a year ago, and I wouldnt have to backtrack through all the working stuff I have. Lots of classics...If anyone feels they dont have anything to test check out sites like www.theunderdogs.org and the like. They should keep you busy

abit slower than usual when scrolling ingame's map (turn off the animation setting for better speed).
it freezes sometime when zooming in, so be sure to save often.
no long loading issue when selecting underground view (pipe or subway rail).

will post more later.

I have just noticed this topic and have found it very interesting indeed.  I have a few games here to ask about:

The Journeyman Project Turbo!
Sid Meier's Civilization II
Command & Conquer
Deadlock: Planetary Conquest
Mission Force: Cyberstorm

Has anyone tried any of these games?  If so, what were the results?  These are really all I'd be interested in playing so I'd like a little feedback before I dive into this thing.

Dosbox in not a windows 98 emulator, it only emulates the Dos environment, hence no windows specific programs are gonna run on it.
