FBA-xxx Pro is a a derivative build of FBAxxx(info), the main purpose of which is to add support for the latest and most accurate ROMsets available to the emulation scene.
When I read the word add.... I think additional... more... greater... not replace.. not different.. This is what they're using to let people know a new release is up. It should include details EVERYONE will be able to identify with. If you read the news item it seems as if they've only added to the emulator. when I read
minor tweaks and bugfixes to the emulator itself I think, cool they haven't changed a whole hell of a lot, just made it run smoother.

And you expect a set from that long ago to still be up-to-date?
No, but I don't expect it to be unuseable. I expect it to be included or some mention on the main page indicating some older romsets
will not work with the newer version.
See, here's what I don't get. Say I have a "crappy" version of x-men vs. street fighter. But it works perfect on an emu. Then some one makes a cleaner dump of it. Why wouldn't the cleaner dump work on the older emu? it's supposed to be the same exact game right? so some of the 0s and 1s got changed a little. it's not like the game now requires 128 megs of ram all of a sudden... it's the same game.
Ok so then who ever dumped the game figured out an all new way of dumping the game? Whats gettng me is the fact that one app plays 600 some odd games... but if one of the rom sets is just slightly off that game wont work at all. no getting to the dipswitches, no "drugs are bad" screen, no nothing except "you may want to try a clone"
