"usb.c: USB device 4 (vend/prod 0x45e/0x280) is not calimed by any active"...
"Error opening /dev/js1! Are you sure you have joystick support in your kernel?"
ok, i think i've got it.
The ID of your joypad is not in the linux driver ID list.
look here:
http://cvs.sourcefor....22&view=markupYou'll see the 0x45e belongs to M$ joypad, but you've got a product ID that is not in the list. Do you have a real MS pad ? if so M$ is f*cking stupid to use different prod ID for the same stuff
indeed i used older list (i used 2.4 kernel, this list is from 2.6). i need to upgrade the list to the 2.6 kernel and add yours.
if you've a real M$, you can still contact the xbox-linux team or the developper of the driver to tell your vend/prod ID (search for the best way).

Interesting, every time I enable my mugen depth for 16bit, I get a "controller loop" error. Once I set it back to 32, everything is fine. I'm confused to why it likes to give a controller error anytime it doesn't like one of your settings; seems they should be totally unrelated. Unless somehow the settings in the Joy2key setup are conflicting with mugen.cfg when its loaded?
i have the same problem. it's not related to joy2key. i don't know the reason. that's why i configured in order to ask the user to change video mode. and i think i'll stick to this solution
Xmugen-linux doesn't work at all for me when using a component cable, even in 480i mode and even if I set my dash to 720p or 1080i. It works fine with a RGB scart cable which runs at 480i only anyway. If my dash is set to 480p, when launching Xmugen the Xbox light flashes orange and the fan speeds up very fast.this is an issue with linux xbox. try to find a solution in the linux forum. this problem is out of my scope
An ESC button is needed, preferably assigned to the Xbox controllers BACK button.yes i need to add it. hope i will have time to do the changes this week.
Changing certain parts of the 'mugen.cfg' gives a controller error.
Loading certain characters gives a controller error of "Error opening /dev/js1! Are you sure you have joystick support in your kernel?". It seems that if there is any Mugen related error, it just gives a controller error rather than a proper error from Linux Mugen. The error opening /dev/js1 is not related to mugen ! it's displayed by joy2key, wich is related to the fact that one of your joypad is not recognized by linux (only one is recognized). give the vend/prod ID that should be displayed on the same screen.
Some people have big Mugen builds over 4GB. The E: drive is too small for this. Support for putting the mugen folder on the F: drive would be great.this would be quite easy. i'll see

Well, after a long night of testing and praying, I've come to the conclusion that unless alg can come correct the issues that the joy2key seems to be creating, that unfortunately there is little reason to bother getting your hopes up with this program.
yes, i think it's useless for you to test more. when i will add the ID of you joypad it should be straight award. or try to borrow another joypad from someone else.
