awesome idea, first the tutorial to run epsxe thru linux and now this.
It's surprising nobody thought of this before, so many emus would have been easier to port this way than doing it the old xbox-native way.
with a stripped down linux, the overhead is really minimal.
Now as a suggestion to anyone willing (i totally admit my linux skills are very limited, or i'd jump on it), someone should do a compilation of all the best linux games AND emus, all bootable from the same default.xbe, and leading to a simple menu (dash-like) to select what you want to boot. you could even add pre-configured non-free games, with the user just having to add the game files.
Like the author said, the main problem preventing regular people from doing this is all the work involved in stripping down linux from the gui and everything, wich might seem trivial to a power user, but not to all those of us wich grew up on windows and have no intention of using linux as a regular desktop OS.
Also translating the native keyboard/mouse games to be played on a xbox gamepad also do involves alot of work, but it only has to be done once and then shared with the community.
Maybe this should be a community project? Have a few people working on setting up the most stripped down version of linux possible with an easy to use by everyone menu, then have anyone contribute there configurations for emulators/games, and release the compilation once every few weeks.
anyways just throwing around ideas here, since the actual porting to xbox native has slowed down alot, this is our "last frontier" for expanding the possibilities offered with a modded xbox.
