possibly
linux source are available, so porting the source should be better so making a "port" with linux as mugen would make it looks like a bad "port"...

nobody has ported that yet ?

Ok, just tried all of the latest updates, and I can say that the Xbox 360 pad works fine now with Black and White button support.  I still can't get any other controller to control Xmugen though when the 360 pad is plugged in.  It will detect the S controllers, but won't give any control to them, so I guess its nice and all, but I'll have to stick with normal pads for now.

i had that problem all i did was put the 360 controller in port 1
instead of port 2 and tthe other controllers worked.

and it's reads the 360 controller 3 times still which might be the reason
for the malfunctions.

as for mugen tag team i am almost ready to give a step by step  based off of
ryaouwins code.

it's really easy.

back from military ftx so i will put it up laters.

Hi everyone, I'm in dire need of your expertise.
I got a copy of The ultimate xmugen pack from guybird and followed the instructions closely. When I try to run mugen my tv blinks to black and then after 5 seconds the xbox's fans start spinning, the led flashes orange and then the xbox turns off. I have no idea what to do, please help me.  uhh.gif

Way to bump a thread that's been dead for 2 months  blink.gif .  Post here for troubleshooting as this thread is dead, and should probably stay that way.

Can you please explain this part in more detail?

Install the default.xbe somewhere and add a link from your dashboard to this xbe.

Launch the xbe (gentoox loader)

I put it into my G:\mugen folder, but i don't know how to add  alink from my dashboard. Do i have to edit my evox.ini?  If so please give an example.

Dude I already told you, our site is here.  Go there and either read the FAQS and/or click on the IRC link and ask for help in the chat.  No need bumping a VERY DEAD thread that hasn't been touched in months.

From all the authors... well, it's a longshot, but you can try.
You can do whatever you want to a character/screenpack/stage/whatever, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T RELEASE IT TO THE PUBLIC.
That's the point I'm trying to make.
I can't do anything to stop you besides say what I've said.
I'm just saying you will make a lot of people angry if you go through with it (Creators, mostly).

So release it as a torrent with a password on it. Problem solved!

yay for warehousing chars as a torrent and make some creators quit because of that !  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

How would that make someone quit?

How would that even make someone reasonable UPSET?

It's just people enjoying their work.

Now if they're not getting CREDIT, I see why they're UPSET.

But even in that case, it doesn't merit quitting.

Well, sounds to me like you've never EVER made anything even remotely worth while, or anything that took you a while, and had it ripped out of your hands. So consider yourself lucky wink.gif
But for someone (and some teams) to put in MONTHS of HARD work on something and have it grouped together where any moron can DL it, it's a little aggravating. Especially when it happens more then once.

I consider it like a Dali painting. If you've only seen the shirts or a print you wont get what I'm saying. Seeing a reprint on a faded T of a painting that could carpet an entire house is blasphemy.
IPB Image
Take a good guess on the actual size of the painting. I'll give you a hint. the dalmation, that can be seen running either way in the bottom middle of the painting is bigger then life-size.
Untill you get up close to it you can't imagine how long and what degree of skill it takes to produce art like this.

Evil Ken next to Kung Fu Man.... come on.

Don't get me wrong, I think packs are O.K. to a degree. But I totaly understand why people get upset.

I still think it's stupid to get upset.  How can you release a something to the public and then get upset when it's distributed through popular public channels?  Plus the virtually unimaginable hypocrisy of using Mugen which itself was distrubted without the author's consent so they quit.   That's what read me files are for... that's where you get your credit... and the authors do indeed plaster their name in not only the read me files but pretty much every text file their character contains.  Sure, not everyone reads the read me files, but then how many actually know the name of the guy that made the web page they are downloading any character from?  Hardly any would be my guess.  Seems to me they actually get more attention the more widely spread their character, but I guess that's simply too logical to be correct.

But we've been down this road before smile.gif
