i don't have this problem on my xbox. or perhasps i don't have seen it or don't understand
what do you mean by assigning buttons ?

ok when i set up my nuttons on my stick and for the 2nd player all is fine but player 2
in the joy2key has a conflict .

the taunt \start button is mapped with the heavy kick\ black button.

i wanted to know if the joy2key was updated cause this is holding it back from being perfect.

k=start button
k=heavy kick also.

I can't get Mugen running, I get an error that says error opening /dev/input/js1! . Are you sure you have joystick support in your Kernel

Here is a new joy2key that should correct the K assigned 2 time:

http://rapidshare.de/files/16931955/joy2key2.html

and the corresponding mugen.cfg:

I've done a ton of screenpacks(like the MugenFightingJam one Vegita linked the other day, I've got it running for Xbox where all you have to do is link the mugen.cfg to the individual MJF folder without the need of replacing or overighting any files.  I've done this with a bunch of the best screenpacks that I'm willing to share right now IF someone is willing to help out as well on stuff like getting the Tetsuo, Xeno,  CapcomvsSNK2wannabe, and Marvel vs Streetfighter packs going that keep crashing) and I'm looking for anyone to help me complete the more difficult ones.  I'm also looking for someone to help me get the MKproject running.  I've done everything I can, but only I'm pretty new to mugen and I can't figure out why the MKproject keeps crashing when I move it Xmugen after correctly linking all the files and doing all the  lowercasing.  The exact same stuff runs fine in Windows and I've checked everything.  Anybody willing to take a look.....I've done all the work already. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)  We can't just let a few people do all the work, we should all help out.

i agree (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)

i think my joy2key1 is the problem. cause when i got the new stuff it didn't really do anything
 but made heavy punch and taunt set to the K button. making another conflit but different button.

so we know joy2key2 is ok.

joy2key1 needs to be fixed and i think it will resolve the conflict issue altogether since that's the last thing to be fixed for game play.
once we get f2 tha'ts it for joy to key

Is there any way of mapping 2 keys to one button alg5?

I would like CTRL & 1 mapped to the left or right trigger because then in WATCH MODE you can select what character you can fight and with the debug key press of CTRL & 1 you can take control of player 1.

Just change this option in mugen.cfg to allow debug keys in Mugen:

QUOTE
;Set to 1 to allow debug keys at all times. Otherwise debug keys
 ;allowed only in debug mode.
AllowDebugKeys = 1

Having 2 S-Style controllers in fixed my above problem but now I have a new one. After it finds both pads it says initialzation complete entering main loop ^C to exit sits there.

alg5

after a few hours i saw my mugen.cfg was jacked up. It would never save my settings when i mapped the buttons through the joystick option. i heavily depended on joy2key but now since i can save i seem to have found my own solution.

i simply replaced it with yours and even with the k button conflict i

map out the keys  and map them out as joysticks and it seems to fix the
conflict from the joy2key1. i would say it's 80% as opposed to the poor game play from before.

with the latest irdloop.gz, the partition are mounted read only, except for the Z who host the swap file.
that's why you can't save you option.

i don't understand what you do  jester.gif

that strange you still have the K conflict with the new joy2key, normally i correct it into the joy2key2  unsure.gif

tell me what to download then cause i might have something overlapping from an older joy2key.

also i have been able to save my controller settings and everything since the mugen.cfg file you send out last. i don't understand. that's supposed to be a good thing right?

you're the only one with this pb, but i don't understand the reason...
everything launch fine, except mugen executable by itself.
start from the begining:
erase everything and put the xmugen beta 3 on E drive
and tell me if it works.
