Hey, guys. I just recently bought 2 m-9 light guns off ebay that I am eagerly awaiting. Meanwhile, I've got a pretty good collection of emulators and games, but I'm not really familiar with too many light gun games. What are some of your favorite light gun games to emulate on your xbox? Thanks!

Duck Hunt (NES)

Do you guys think a light gun will ever come out for the XBOX 360?
Also will there be any XBOX 360 light gun games since there were only 2 on the original XBOX (House of the Dead 3 + Starsky & Hutch)

^ add "Silent Scope Complete" to your list of xbox lightgun games... but I agree the point is you can count them all on one hand. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I have the MadCatz Blaster... I like it a lot, I've only played with it for one day though. Working on getting my favorite emulators working with it. If anyone would like to help me my aim is "Tr0yNT"

I can get it to recognize my lightgun in the NES.. and I can see the crosshair but I cant get past the first menu where I pick my game. When I fire I get nothing.

I've heard that if you adjust your television's "brightness" settings, that your gun may register better.
As far as the games you've listed, I don't think you can play Area 51 on the xbox because it has to have a "hard drive image" or something like that. And as far as Time Crisis goes, I've tried to load it with Mame-ox and it always says "not enough memory". Have you somehow gotten it to load? Does it require a ram upgrade?

Police Trainer... AWESOME Arcade game
Area51 is another one of my Arcade favorites (didn't it run off of the Ultra 64 hardware, meaning you might use a modified version of KIAME instead of MAME)
House of the Dead is another great one, HOTD1 for Saturn, HOTD2 for DC, and HOTD3 for Xbox, Here's hoping #4 makes it to the 360. All of them have arcade versions.
Time Crisis is easily one of the best Arcade Shooter series ever.

Crisis Zone, Silent Scope, Death Crimson, Confidential Mission, Jurassic Park, Mad Dog McCree, Drug Wars, Virtua Cop, are a few others I can think of.

If you have a SNES emulator see if you can find Some "Super Scope" games, I used to have one, it was like a light gun bazooka (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)
It came bundled with "Super Scope 6" which was 6 mini games on one cart, but I think there were 1 or 2 other games

do you need alight gun to play t2?
I loaded it on mame-x and it will not work.

I have not tried Area 51 or Time Crisis on the xbox yet, but I'll reply back if I get any luck w/ either.

forget about running area 51 or timecrisis on mameox, xbox just doesn't offer enough to run those games smoothly

ram won't help for either of those, its the cpu that counts for mame sake and also time crisi isn't working on v84 but is in current mame's tho still not perfect (plus now they added point blank 2 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )

Well, HOTD 4 is coming out for 360. I've already played it in an arcade. I think the Xbox release is a while off as MS (or someone) will need to find a way to make lightguns work with Plasmas. I hope it's xbox1 compatable too. I hate having to play HOTD 3 on my tiny CRT TV, and not on my 43" plasma!

I can't believe no one listed Police 911! I'd say it's one of my all time favourites. The House of the Dead series is great too, along with Gunblade NY, and of course, Virtua Cop.
