I've got an unusual problem. I've used Linux a few times on PC in the past, but following this tutorial, I make it into Linux, but when I go to create the loopback install, it won't allow me to create a swap file on my F drive, I get a permissions error. I noticed during bootup that I get a FATX error stating that I've got read only access. I've unplugged all other devices, and I only have an S type official controller plugged into port 1. I've wiped out everything a couple of times and reuploaded it with the same results. It did allow me to create a swap file on my E drive, but once I boot up using the loopback and enable FTP, and I log in using dsl/dsl, I end up in a different directory structure than expected (I don't have the typical C/E/F type view, nor do I end up in /home/dsl/) I have about 6 gigs free on my F drive, so it shouldn't be an issue. This is what my relevant directory structure looks like:
E:/
linuxboot.cfg (matching the one in the tutorial)
E:/KNOPPIX
KNOPPIX
linux24
minirt24.gz
E:/Apps/Linux
default.xbe
I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong but any help would be appreciated.
