can i use ind-bios.5001 with my chip? is it like a universal bios or something?... i have the latest bios for my chip, which seems to be v3294.

also, does this have to be done with XDSL, or is it the fastest option or something? or can i try a different distro such as gentoox?

okay, i tried using cromwell v2.40 and ind-bios.5003... both produce the same effect as X3 v3294 (completely scrambled sceen, but has color -- it's similar to the PAL-on-NTSC-TV effect)... what gives?

When it cuts the partition with an old method Linux does not trigger it.
If you use a new installer it may be possible

what would partitions have to do with the video becoming scrambled?

This makes me think you are using a 1.6 XBox. Try launching this Linux distro from Evo-X, or from XBMC after disabling auto video switching under Settings>Programs>General Also I understand linuxboot.cfg has some properties in regard to 1.6 XBoxen, 480p and 640x480 being the only options that work for said XBox version.

is there anyway to edit the linuxboot.cfg file to have an option to boot straight into xdsl to run epsxe or to just boot straight to xmugen?

i'm just having trouble ftping from pc to linux i've tryed changing the username and password and starting betaptfd is there something i'm missing it works on unleash X dashbored ok

Make sure you have the right IP address. look on the Linux desktop, it should be there somewhere
