I thought this would be an interesting poll.  Please respond only if you've actually attempted flashing the TSOP yourself.

Check out the tutorials section.... it's well documented. I had no problems wiring a switch for writing to the TSOP and a switch to disable my enigmah.

I've removed, reprogrammed and resoldered about 50 TSOP's without any problems.

Also done a few multiBIOS mods....they work nicely but care needs to be taken reflashing the chip once fitted (i.e. making sure that the state of the chip is correctly set) else the TSOP dies...

The LPC cheapmod is now flash updateable via the EvolutionX software so I don't do the TSOP's any more...probably start doing them again for the v1.1 consoles if 256Kb BIOS's aren't made available (but they would have to be a multiBIOS setup to gain access to an image > 256Kb)...

I had no problem with my messiah x, except I could'nt get a switch to work, so I cut all the wires after I booted to EvoX one at a time starting with A... that went flawless. I heard that making the two switches to A and C and creating to long of wires can cause problems, maybe that was why it wouldnt work...

/me shrugs

Regardless, TSOP is flashed and it is the l33ts!
