You don't experience any slowdown in the intro? Or anywhere else in the game? I've just updated my emulator to v17 and no change...

Are you able to post your game setting? Frameskip number, etc?

Thx

Games with heavy use of 3D or mode 7esque features tend to experience slowdown on the Xbox.  Set your software filter to none and Hardware filter to point for best speed.

However in FFIVAdvances case you rarely ever go into a mode 7esque scene.  At least nothing gamebreaking as it's only used in the intro, the airship parts, and the fight with the final boss (and that's just mostly scrolling)

Just throttle past the opening bit and the game will play full speed 95% of the rest of the time that you play.
