My port of ScummVM has no support for placing the scummvm.ini file in the root folder (with the xbe).

It's also not something I'd be inclined to add support for. It's not something I'd use personally and after all it's not like it takes ages to add a game to the list - just add them one by one as you want to play them.

That being said - I can't remember if there is a command line option to ScummVM to specify a config file. If there is, then it may be possible to use JbOne's xbe shortcut maker to create a shortcut that specifies the correct parameters (i.e. to use d:\\scummvm.ini as the config file).

But that one will depend on when JbOne releases the updated shortcut maker - the support is in my port of ScummVM already.

thanks for the reply. sorry if i sound nieve when it comes to scummvm. so if i burn all the games in directorys on dvdr along with the emu i can add them manually like on the pc version? if so that is great and easier than messing with editing ini files and stuff.
if not could you please let me know?
thanks.

If I were you I'd put the games on dvd as you suggest, but I'd put the ScummVM xbe onto the xbox harddrive.

That way when (or if) the xbe gets updated you don't have to burn a complete new disk just to replace the xbe.

But yes, wherever you run the xbe from you can add games just like in the pc version - the interface is the same.

did they fix the screen stretching issue? i know in my version,  a little bit of the left and right sides of the screen are chopped off.

Hold white, and press right thumbstick (if I am not wrong...)
You will be able to adjust the size and positioning of the screen.

Now, I ask - can I switch the graphic mode to POINT and hardware
to NONE (no bilinear, no trilinear, etc etc...)

I search for the sharp blocky (pixelated) original mode...
No blur at all!

I did not see the graphic filter configuration menu on
my first try (I just took a quick look).

AND yes, there are problems with BROKEN SWORD in the
ScumVM 0.8 WIP. No sounds and too fast subtitles.
Does the sound files renaming trick really works?

Cheers dudes!

Just been over to scummvm.org, and Ive noticed theyve added a few more compatible games:
Future Wars
Gobliiins 2
The Feeble Files
The Legend of Kyrandia
Touche: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer

Will these work with 0.80? If not, are they liable to in the next (touchwood) update?
Thanks

Future Wars and Touche currenty are just working on daily builds, so not even a 0.9.0 port would be able to run them. I hope someone will make a port once 0.10.0 it's released, since in marks a significant moment in the programs history.. smile.gif

Is Future Wars really the game I have in mind? This french adventure from the makers of Operation Stealth and Cruise For A Corpse? Nice story but lots of pixelhunting. Ok, Scumm supports some other games than just pure Lucasarts ones, but I would never have imagined that Future Wars would work with it.

Harlekin, say, aren't you the harlekin who was once quite active in the german xbox board called evo-x?

Might be a silly question, but I have the Indiana Jones atlantis game, sam and max, and DOTT at my dads house from my old 486 days.  To run them on xbox would I just copy the files to my PC and then FTP them to a rom directory for scumm?

Just tried out Legend of Kyrandia PC CD version on 0.80
The intro loads up fine, with speech, but when you come to take control of the game, the main character isnt visible. Pressing the A button just switches between various areas in the game, presumably that you see later in the story, but you cant do anything.
I suppose it was sort of half implemented at the time Scummvm 0.80 came out.
