ScummVM 0.80 XBOX WIP Release
-----------------------------

This is an update, of my previous port, to the ScummVM 0.80 code base.

Changed - 04/12/2005:

New:-
 - ScummVM 0.80 engine and all of the changes which that brings.
 - support for 480p and 720p HDTV modes.
 - support for FluidSynth midi emulation (see note).
 - support for command line arguments from JbOne's xbe shortcut maker.

Everything else is the same as the previous release - see below.

Note:-
To use the FluidSynth midi emulation you will need a compatible soundfont file,
as mentioned in the official ScummVM readme.txt

When you have a compatible soundfont, you will need to set the path to it in the
options menu within ScummVM and also set the midi driver setting to FluidSynth.

As the ScummVM readme says - this type of emulation is pretty cpu intensive
(although not as bad as mt32 emulation), so you may notice some slowdown etc.

hi. really would like to try this version. i'm still using an old 6.0 version.
one question though is there a screen adjustment option on this port. without it the games are kinda unplayable on some tvs. (eg mine lol). with text offscreen and such sad.gif any info would be great.
cheers.

Yes it has screen resize, and the guy asking for what good games this supports, it basically supports all the good games.

Oh I'm sorry I typed the wrong name, I was mean Xenesis laugh.gif

JoBlo69 scummvm is a type of pc emulator that run games like Lucas Arts Indiana Jones based on scummvm engine http://www.scummvm.org

Xenesis??

Well that's going back a bit. I thought I was the only one that used it.

Come to think of it - I don't even know where the source is for that. Must still have it someplace.

However it's unlikely to get an update, it works fine for my purposes and I don't think enouh other people use it to warrant spending time on it.

But then again - seeing as Amazon.co.uk have now said that my August pre-order for the 360 now isn't going to be with me until the end of February  grr.gif  - I'll probably find myself with some spare time over the holidays, so who knows!

That's a bit of a catch-22 Carch.

You see it's certain that more people would use it if it got a nice update. A Flicker Filter option alone would answer the prayers of many Megadrive/Genesis fans here. happy.gif

Oh BTW; thankies a million for this latest SCUMMVM update. It's great to see the project is still going strong.

I've thought about it - but I haven't ever managed to figure out how to get the core updated and stuff.

So I don't think that's likely to happen.

Can I run games straight off the DVD Drive as you would for a PC?

I put a game disc into the drive and suddenly, the DVD drive didn't show up in the file tree in Scumm anymore.

Also, will ScummVM be automatically upconverted if my TV is defaulted at 1080i?

You can burn the game onto a dvd and run them from there.

But I think you're asking if you can put the original game cd in the drive and run from those??
Do you know - I have no idea - never tried!

Thinking about it, it's not going to work. Something to think about though.

No, this build doesn't support 1080i, only goes as far as 720p.
