Fceultra: Playing Roms From Dvd/cd-rw

ok... i've burned a number of roms to a dvd all with a .nes extension... when i browse to these roms in FCEU and try to play them i get the LOADING ROM screen then it goes back to the file browser... Can FCEU play roms straight from a disc?
