Is it possible within WinuaeX to map specific keys needed by an Amiga game to the Xbox joypad ?

ie, Pinball Dreams needs to use certain keys such as shift and the down cursor key, but i cannot find any info on how to set the joypad to do this.

can you use usb keyboard and joypad at the same time with this emu. eg: joypad in port 1 and keyboard in port 2.
i tried this with vicex and could not get it to work.
would be handy cause some games you need to use the keyboard for things during gameplay. it's ok to map a few buttons but for games that you need to use a lot of keys aswell as the joypad would be nice to use both keyboard and pad.

It's just not possible to map certain keys (cursors and F keys) and it's also not possible to access certain amiga specific keys which are missing on the virtual keyboard. If I recall correctly it is the printscreen key which is needed to end most of the whdload games correctly. Reseting the Amiga will work, but of course you would need to reload your HDF Image, which takes a couple of seconds longer, than I am willing to wait. :>

Not possible to map cursor keys....Thats incorrect because I did that with Pinball Fantasies, Dreams etc
so that I have the flippers set as my triggers (on Xbox pad).
From memory I'm pretty sure you can map the F keys to the Xbox pad too...(at work at present)  biggrin.gif

Strange. I can remap space, enter and all numbers, but no F Keys nor cursors.
Options for controller 1, remap buttons and then remap game definition or something. Could this relate to not having deleted older versions properly? I just deleted the program dir and not the savegame in memory management.

Maybe. I delete everything when installing a new version.
At work at the mo (again!), but from memory I remap the button I want (ie, cursor) under game definition,
then map that to a button on my XB pad (under controller). Sorry if that sounds weird, really need to be
at home to see what menu I am talking about.  biggrin.gif

Its totally editable though...Thats why WinuaeX rocks for me, remapping and save anywhere system, much
better than playing on my Amiga back in the day... biggrin.gif
