I've been waiting and hoping for the Atari 7800 to be ported to the xbox for some time.  I think the ProSystem looks to be the best one for PC so far and hope it would be possible to port it.  I haven't done too much beyond fiddling with my xbox via ftp, but I did get a degree in programming and currently work as one, so I understand programming very well.  If anyone out there would also like to see the 7800 come to xbox and think they may be able to do it but just want some major help, I am offering my help.  Give me an email at [email protected] if you are interested.  I think many of us would like to see the 7800 make it to Xbox finally.

Can you play games through the PlayStation emulator from the PlayStation CD or do they have to be ISOs on your hard drive?

Have to have the ISO on the XBox hard drive or burned to a disc as a data disc (the ISO itself needs to be on the disc as a file).

Well, considering gens, the only viable, open source Genesis emulator doesn't currently support SEGA CD 32x games, you're S.O.L.  KEGA is the only emulator that I know of that supports the 32x CD format, but it is closed source.  Gens is in the middle of a complete overhaul, so support could come soon.

Yeah, I loved using Kega on the pc and had hoped that maybe the author would port or allow a port of it over, then again you never know what someone may come up with down the road, heres to hoping

I know there is no emulators for the systems that i will be asking about, but

If xbox made a emulaor for ps1, shouldn't logically they make one for xbox 360 to play the ps2. I could see it play at least the cd-r games.

i am going to cross my fingers
but i am hoping for
sega saturn
cd-i (best zelda and mario games ever)
3do

I am going to wait a year or two off from buying the systems, because hey they might be emulated.

I mean who would had ever thought 15 years ago when nintendo came out, charging $50 a cartridge that 15 years later you could get the whole collection on one disc for the price of the tax of a regular game back then.

just thought i would post this.

Who knows, maybe that could happen.  Just gotta wait and see.  First we need a way of modding the 360, then some emulators can be made.  biggrin.gif  Since the 360 technically can emulate the xbox, the ps2 should not be a problem...

Has there been any progress regarding a CD-I emulator for Xbox?
