Hmm...so there's no atari 7800 emulators available for the xbox yet.  Question then:  since there is a Dos emulator for the xbox and a 7800 emulator for the PC, then can you use the Dos emulator for your Xbox to run the 7800 emulator for the PC?  Would this work, or even if it did would it be incredibly slow?

I'd imagine it'd be extremely slow because it'd have to run it's own code, the PC's code, and the 7800's code.  Or something like that.

Ah, that sucks.  Oh well, worth a shot in the dark.  That's really odd I think that they have developed emulators for all those other old games, some more advanced than that, and some more obscure.  Why is it someone hasn't come up with a 7800 one for the xbox, since they clearly already have one for the pc?

quotes from xport

QUOTE
EMU7800 - This is written in C# which is not compatible with the XDK. I have no desire to completely rewrite it.

QUOTE
MESS - not likely. I may get around to ripping out certain sections e.g. A7800

it can be done but your probably not going to get a port from xport

hopefully someone else will step up and port this

Cool, thanks for your help.  Hopefully someone will get around to converting that for the xbox because Atari 7800 is in my opinion the most fun game system ever.  Ballblazer, Touchdown Football, oh I need to stop, I'm getting all excited just thinking about it :-)  I just graduated with a Computer Science degree, so if anyone needs any help with the 7800 (if I'm even able to) I have some programming ability and I would be more than happy to help.

The original pinned thread has much more pomp to it. Beef up the descriptions, and make it look nice, and i'll pin it ; )

I didn't realize my help was needed.. But I'm always glad to lend a hand. This thread now officially has Pomp.

For those wishing for a Saturn emulator.. It's not going to happen. The Saturn was ahead of its time in a lot of ways.. You think the multiple CPU's on new systems will be cool? The Saturn had two CPU's back in its day.. along with two graphics processors, and several other processors. Trivia: Sega was sued by Sony for a commercial they aired, where they noted the greater number of processors in the Saturn and how that enabled the system to fly, then threw a PSX out a window.. "Fly, Playstation, fly." ..it didn't fly like the Saturn >:D
There are Saturn emulators for the PC. And if you're rich and can afford a top of the line system (i.e. at least $3000) and you also don't mind if you can't play games at full speed, then go out and buy that PC and download a Saturn emulator. Maybe with the processing power of future systems we'll see a Saturn emulator, but don't expect full-speed emulation for a while.
On a happy note, Saturns are old and cheap.. Search eBay. I got mine from an Electronics Boutique a few years back for $22 with a memory cartridge, 2 controllers, cables, etc. The games are cheap too, many good ones can be had for $5.

FBA XXX 07.23.2005 is the latest bro.
I tried playing this latest FBA XXX version and I've had a few issues with certain roms that have worked in the past. I guess I'll just have to do some testing.

I'm assuming I can just patch the latest xbe file from FBA XXX 07.23.05 using the same old FBA XXX Pro method.
I'll give this a shot in a few minutes.

Where do you put the bios once you find them?
Do they go in every individual game zip file, or do you just throw them in the main FBAXXX folder?

Sorry if my questions seem noob-ish  smile.gif
