hey good work.

i've had no crashing problems and the games that i have have been running well, with a gosd visual improvement over the original Surreal.

does anyone here know if 'The World is Not Enough' works now? in the original Surreal and FDB versions it always crashed when starting the first level and sound didn't work.

i better question is does the AKI wrestling games work better? i remember wcw/nwo vs the world not showing any gfx but it was playing.

This port looks GREAT, but plays like UTTER shit! The new compatability chart if full of false claims as well. I've got the GOOD Set and I've tested multiple versions of each rom, with the same results. Many games that are said to play flawless with no GFX glitches such as the Zelda and Shadows Of The Empire games do not infact run with GFX  glitches, infact the 2nd Zelda runs slow as fuck.
 What are you guys testing on? A 128Mb XBOX!??!

Anyhow, I'll wait for the next propper releaes from Lantus and friends thank you very much. Nice try I guess.

What happened to the favorites button that used to be in surreal?  This was a good feature, and should be included.  This new emu is excellent, and it would be great if you could please add this feature back into the surreal xxx release.

Well I have to say that Pilotwings 64 is much better with this version. Much Much more playable. There are only slight graphic glitchs (SLIGHT) and very slight audio crackles using JTTL.

Star Fox runs without any Graphics or Sounds glitches that I can tell of, but it is slow.

Zeldas are perfect.

Conker is very very good graphically, excpet sound is very troubled with JTTL. I haven't tried the Basic Sound yet.

Body Harvest still refuses to run, and returns a black screen.

BomberMan 64 (Sadly) still has the weird graphical glitches at game start, that render it unplayable. I love Bomberman64, Nothing is better Mplayer wise.

Anyone tested GoldenEye? How about 4 player Goldeneye?

Shadows of the Empire is still very "colorful." It's basically totally corrupt graphically. If you've ever seen a colorful hoth, this is what I mean.

Anyone want me to post pics? I've got some webspace and shots.




What's the best way to test roms? Should I turn on IGR in Evox? I still have quite a few roms that return black screens on run, and I have to restart the Xbox manually. Should I switch dashes? Turn on IGR? What should I do there?

As an aspiring programmer, I'd really like to know the general procedure of how you guys implemented the new Graphics plugin. Doesn't have to be detailed. A general overview? Please? Please! How did you make the new menu? SDL?

over all this is a great release! just wanted to say thank you guys and a job well done for N64 on the xbox! just one request that i have that i really liked about older version of Surreal. The Preferred Emulator for each game, i really liked that setting and it is in fact a bit annoying selecting each emulator and changing settings to see which one runs that rom better.

Also thank you guys for using this Forum post that i posted yesterday to help solve issues that need to be resolved in Surreal xxx beta 2!

I installed this and tried loading a few roms.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time wouldn't even load on UltraHLE and PJ64.  On 1964 it loads, but there are severe graphic glitches.  Any top down view is missing every single texture.

I've tried the 1.0 E, and 1.0 U version, and now I'm using the Master Quest version of the ROM.  Same problem.  How is everyone else getting this to work?  I still have this game on my N64, but I have too many consoles hooked up, and I was looking forward to retiring the N64 if I can get this ROM to work.

Zelda: Majora's Mask - slow

Shadows of the Empire - colorful Hoth from textures not showing up.

Mario 64 - tested in all 3 modes, and works great.  UltraHLE has the big mario face showing in all white when you first boot, but other than that, the game works well.

Gauntlet Legends - Very slow, graphical bugs, and the screen flashes

Conker - Didn't load, but I only tried one mode, then I left for work.

Beelzebud: You're right. I've had a bad day of trial and error with this latest release, and it's gotten on my last nerve, or rather the compatability list. It is quite and achievement for the coders indeed, I should not have put it down so harshly as I did. Rather I should merely attack those that came up with that compatability chart, man that thing is so VERY off!

I couldn't agree more.

Looking through this forum, I've just come across two threads where Lantus is not releasing so-called open source code.

What's the point of a so-called open source project when you don't actually release code?

I was playing San Fran. Rush E.R. and the sound was kinda choppy then it crashed up on me. I was using 1964 to play the game. Also I would like to see the Playable/Unplayable messages on a games info b4 launching the game. I too also had the 3P port not working on this buil and some games used to work quite well and now some of those games have choppy sound or instence slowdown in the games like Mario Golf and Mario Tennis.
