Bluemsxbox Blue Screen With Msx 2 Roms?

I have been trying to get Metal gear 2 to work with this emulator but it just freezes after the MSX 128k screen.....

any ideas? is there any way to force msx 2 mode?

I have set it as an msx 2 game in the config and all msx 1 games seem to work fine.
