i know exactly what you mean.

the whole idea of emulation is to play great games from years ago that we can no longer play in this era of xbox/playstation etc.

but more and more people join this forum and complain that they can't emulate ps2 and gc.

that just isn't what emulation is about

Who are you to dictate what emulation is and isnt about? By definition, video game emulation is just being able to make one console/pc play games through a program that acts like another console. You cant just tell people that even if they ARE abiding by the TRUE purpose of emulation, they are wrong. Whatever tho. Im totally USING emulation to preserve the classics, i just dont agree with what youve said. If it was possible to play all your video games on one console, dont EVEN start to tell me that because of your moral obligations, youd skip on it. My god, it would be so great if i could put my dreamcast away...flippin wires and controllers totally get in the way just because every couple of months i have a massive craving for the original Ikaragua, Capcom vs. Snk or Soul Calibur (cant forget about Skies of Arcadia or Grandia 2 either...never boned up for the Gamecube version of SoA and the ps2 version of Grandia 2 blew sac). Id totally give a testicle to be able to box up my little Sega Dream Machine...gotta love the dreamcast...so ahead of its time...

relax, he's not dictating, hes explaining. Emulation started to play old games by people who wanted to play them. And for me it's also having all the damn things in one box. I love to take my stuff to a friends house and play games. Im not going to carry even two systems, much less the bajillions I have emud.

They sold it to 3Drealms who will now develop it further, and eventually release it bundled with Duke Nukem Forever.

The copy of Duke Nukem Forever I bought off a one eyed, one horned, purple people eating street corner begger didn't include this supposed emulator.  Do I contact Bill Gates or Osama Bin Laden for a full refund?
