ok I know for a damn fact that everybody is having fun with pcsxbox. Except me. I have installed v11,13,4,and 7 and nothing. The games freeze at the loading screen. Does it take a shit load of time to load up off the hard drive or should it be instant? i figure instant because it does that with xbox games. I have the scph0001 bin or whatever it is and the 7402 one. I make the games into iso and change them into bin and i also edit t he cue so it doesnt say Drive/whatever/blah.bin what am i doing wrong? I am so jonesing for Tactics big time HELP PLEASE!!! I have a smartxx mod and xbox v1.2 or 3 I am in desperate need of help. Thank you

1. please write in a better way. The way it is now is just too hard to understand

2. Why don't you rip directly to bin/cue? This is probably much easier.

3. And what do you mean by editing the cue-file? I never had to edit anything.

4. The game you are trying to play might be copy-protected in a certain way, so the game refuses to play on a chipped PSX therefore on any emu! google for the proper PSX patches (I am not sure if links to ppf files that remove the PSX copy protection are allowed on this board) and look if there's a copy protection fix for your game!

5. Make sure the cue and bin have the same name, something like

blah.bin
blah.cue

6. If you followed all those steps (or found out what you did wrong) check the PCSXbox compatibility list for the proper settings of the game you're trying to run.

sorry i have been trying to get this to work for the past week and i have been getting rather excited about it.

1 i cant rip to bin cue because i have a benq1620 and cdrwin dont recognise and alcohol only does someother thing so i have to use sonic record now and burn as iso and use magic iso to transfer over to bin cue

2 in the cue file it says that the bin file is somehwere else so they say for a best bet is just to take out the directory and just leave the gamename.bin in the first line of the cue file.

3 Last i checked fftactics is compatiable with the pscxbox. I even downloaded the best settings for it. I deleted the udata and some folder within a folder to clean it out because that is what the readme of the pcsxbox said and install pcsxbox 7 on it which i have tried. I even tried with wildarms. I guess i should try with ff6 or something but i have been having a serious jones for final fantasy tactics. For the installation of pcsxbox i just ftp it through the xbmc file manager to f:\emulators and have the game and bios right in it. Like i have said before i have v11,13,4,7 of pcsxbox. I am getting frustrated because this is one of the main reasons i modded da box

try some other software like alcohol 120. to rip to bin/cue deselect "read subchannel data".

Thanks horscht it works awesome!! of course i got fftactics working now except when i went to my friends house damn movement icon dont show so i should reupload it again but it works!! so it must of been the iso to bin conversion i was doing..thanks again
