I modded an xbox for a friends and instaleld the Xenium Ice chip with the the m8 bios for v1.6 consoles. Everything was fine then a month later he said he was playing a sega genesis emulator and then his screen went black (im not sure what he did he said he just beat a game....)

anyways i can boot to the main os screen but i cannot launch any bios off of the chip...it just sounds like its taking forever to turn on and then blinks a couple times and the screen stays completely black? anyone have anyyyy idea what is wrong?

well i updated the OS and set it back to factory settings....i still get the same thing...could it be an eeprom problem?? the chip is detecting that the xbox is v1.0 BUT its 1.6! how could i fix this if its an eerpom problem??

Well i fixed it...it was the eeprom so i backuped a v1.6 eeprom from my friends and then transfered it to the "broken" xbox and backuped from eeprom and now everything works thank god

Thats what i love about the Xenium ICe. I love having the ability to fix corrupted eeproms. I just love that feature.
