And what would the scene look forward to if a full speed, full compatibility N64 emulator on this console generation did come out? As it is, I only check on the emulation forum section once in a blue moon now anyway.

there isnt even an emulator on the pc that can emulate all the n64 games... like RE2, world racing championship and a few others... the n64 has a long way to go its seems since alot of people who make emulators have lost interest and moved on to other things... why emulate newer consoles when u havent perfected the old ones yet  unsure.gif

good post.
I can never remember a time when emulation as a whole was at it's peak.  Perhaps the release of UltraHLE years back, that was the pinnacle.  It was a real feat, which spun the scene into mainstream gaming.  The fact is, we have loads of games at our disposal. Old ones, new... and yet we cling to the N64 like it's going to miraculously become 100% perfect.

I don't know if there's a PC emulator for N-Gage, but I'm pretty sure that no one with the skill to make or port an N-Gage emulator for Xbox is even remotely interested.

The only nokia NGage emulator I know of comes with the oficial SDK.

Do I need another update to a NES emulator? Or a Genesis emulator? When most games are playable, and at full speed, I'm happy enough.

Tearing is ugly dude, 50fps is much better.

Oh, and save up for a new TV.

That is such a lame excuse. It can simply added with one little option (it IS supported by SDL). Running 60hz-games in slow speed is worse than a few graphical artifacts, especially if you're used to play them at normal speeld.

The option should be called "Force games to run at 60hz" or something. Turn it off by default for the people who hate 'tearing', but make sure that people who want/need it can turn it on.

That's all I ask.sad.gif
