If you're thinking of converting to a Gamecube "scene" person, I'd ask you to reconsider. They'll feed you constant misinformation and venom, leading to constant misdiagnoses on your part of problems they imagine to exist...when in fact your modchip is the problem as you've insisted all along. This will cost you untold dollars when you finally give in to their demands and purchase a new Gamecube to satisfy them as to your competence in modchip installation. Some egomaniac named brakken will then ban you from his website when one of his paid sponsors steals your money and threatens you over the phone...and you speak up about it. They're all retards. The only way I was able to successfully mod BOTH my Gamecubes was by never reading another thing those goons wrote again. All my Gamecube does is play Gamecube games. My XBox does everything. Make your XBox do everything, otherwise you have no satisfying goal to set before yourself other than having multiple copies of games playable on your Gamecube. Oh, and opening your Gamecube doesn't void the warranty.

not shure if im gonna get in on the game cube scene or not yet but i figure might as well try it im into the ps2 exploit scene as well as the xbox scene and just wish to expand my knolage as well as the capibilitys of my consoles

I noticed that the site i linked to (Zophars Domain) is not being updated anymore,
I changed the url to now point at Cowering's own site which has the latest goodtools.
(for example goodgen is now at v3.00 while Zophar's only has 0.999.7 for download)

try using the newer goodgen that can be downloaded there (url in first post)

if that does not work try going into a command prompt and typing goodgen ren dirs forcexbox
that will move the roms into the ren dir with xbox short filenames AND into country specific dirs.

maybe i should make a command prompt goodtools faq...?

If i once created a collection with 'rename dirs' and i want to update/recheck all files with new good tool version and newly added roms how is it meant to be done? If i just try 'rename' files in subfolders won't be found. If i use 'scand' they will be listed but not touched in a any way. There is no command like 'renameD'.

Just move all the files into one dir, then dump the new roms in there, then rescan and sort into dirs.
(might be wise to put only unzipped roms in the dir or you might get some doubles)

then when its sorted into dirs just use winrar to zip the roms.
