One word : Kids
Here's little timmy by example, timmy's mommy and daddy are always fighting
so timmy feels very sad and ignored, to feel wanted he makes up lies in order to get attention from other kids.
so timmy will make up lies which are sure to gain attention from his fellow classmates.
this in turn will give him the acceptance he so desperatly wants,
but only for a limited time though..
because a lie will always be a lie no matter how nice you wrap it up.
sadly by then the lie will have spread amongst hundreds of ignorant youths
