I came across an older thread via the search function, but it looks like the framefiles listed in the post all have lockup issues.  Is there a good framefile out there for Dragon's Lair 2?  Any help is appreciated.

Just make a text file "frame.txt" that has these lines:

CODE

. -63 Dlair2.m2v

Assuming Dlair2.m2v is your mpeg file, and not sure if frame.txt should have a specific name on xbox (too lazy to check).

After that, when you run it the first time it will create a .dat file that has the seekpoints.

Disclaimer: I believe that should work, but I only run daphne on my PC.

Btw, the game is pretty hard, the timing and move sequences need to be exact and sometimes may be out of sync. Dlair2 is not officially supported by daphne. But the graphics are still great

How did you  convert your DL2?  I own it on DVD ROM, but have only converted my Space Ace with DVD2Daph.  I know DVD2Daph doesnt support DL2, but i have read there are some others that might... DDV2Daph created my frame file when it ran the conversion.

I would say check the Daphne web page, but I dont think there is much support for DL2 there...

As far as i know DL2 doesnt work with daphnex, wasnt supported. Hope and wait for a new port.

Hi,
Dragon's Lair 2 is supported in DaphneX, but its not 100% accurate emulated.  But it works. It's not supported by the officially Daphne at the moment.

So Jerico does convid2daph convert DL2?  And is it playable, or are there enough timing errors to make it unbearable?

In my opinion it is very playable and yes you can convert DL2 with convvid2daph,
but only the DVD-Video (3pack) and the 20th Anniversary releases are supported at the moment. The framefile should be fixed now.

So I went to your site and noticed it does say DVD-Rom support.  Is this so for DL2?  

I have the DVD-Rom versions from Digital Leisure.

Hey Jerico...I can't run covvid2daph 2.7.  I extracted all the files, but I get a Run-time error '5':Invalid procedure call or arguement.  Any suggestions?  BTW I figured out that it automatically makes the framefile for DL2 after reading about it a bit!!!

Hmm, strange. I've uploaded the VB runtime to the site. Install the runtime and see if it works. I never had this error before. What OS do you run? And no, Dragon's Lair 2 DVD-Rom is not supported.

I'm running XP SP2...tried installing the runtime, but it didn't help.  I guess I can use dvd2daph to at least convert Space Ace DVD.  Will it do DL2 DVD as well?
