The usual places...

You know what though?  I'm fucking sick of this!  Why can't we just say "Xbins"?  There are tutorials for getting there on this site, in plain view (so in all actuality, bareshark, you shouldn't have typed before you read).

BACK ON TOPIC, HOWEVER ph34r.gif!!!

I like what your doing freakdave, keep up the good work smile.gif.

What? i always say #Xbins instead of " the usual places"
never had any problem with it so far.. which would have been odd since there's a tutorial on how2xbins on the main xboxscene site.

back on topic

The original Surreal had "VSYNC" turned off (and you got tearing) and also had Anti-aliasing turned off too.

Does Surreal64 FDB re-visit any of these features? Seems like a logical progression based on what has been done already.

ok i know i'm gonna get blasted for this,  I have tried all of the emulators in the past and all worked fine, in particular I always wanted a n64 emu for the wrestling games, anyway i have never been able to get surreal (any version) to work.  it will never load.  I've installed it in apps folder, tried game folder, tried extracted version from disc and iso version from disk,  the main program never launches.  I have tried editing and not editing ini.  every possible combination.  I have one of the first boxes ver 1 with one of the first enigma chips (with latest bios).  I have great sucees with the unit, all games NSTC and Pal launch fine on this system, all apps, emulators, and media players have worked fine.  For somereason I can't use surreal......could it be that it will only work on newer systems????? I downloaded the latest release from xbins and still no luck.....has anyone else had this problem where the emulator just won't launch..... and i tried deleting the Tdata file but since the emu never launches there isn't one.  I also followed the step by step for emus on this forum but still no luck...... any insight???

is the joystick sensitivity thing not working in this release (V3)?  I haven't tried v1 or v2 yet, but I just put v3 on my xbox.

I've been playing with the settings in the ini, but nothing seems to be changing in 007.
i even have it set to 24000, .54, and .45
and the settings still feel like they're at the default one.
i've deleted both ini's from my TDATA folder, and it's still not working.

am i not doing something right?

FreakDave:
I tried the one from  gueux and same results.  I also tired differnt HD , one that has all of the other emus on it like psx, gba, etc....
I put it in game or apps folder on hd, put all roms in rom folder and don't do anything to the ini and it won't launch. here's the list of  whats in folders:

Media
NFO
Roms (i put my roms here in zip formt, tried unzip them didn't matter program won't load)
Surreal64 fdb v3 src
1964 ini
1964 xbe
default xbe
pj64 xbe
project64x,rdb
rice51.0
ruce52.0
surreal ini
ultra ini
ultra xbe

is anything missing if i put surreal in a game diretory with roms in same directory do i need to edit ini or do anything???? surreal shows up in directory but the app won't launch the loading game screen just hangs????? i think it's the xbe the default is 628kb ......any ideas of what's going wrong???

hmm,very strange..
what bios are you using ?
and what dashboard are you using ?
Have you tried to patch the *.xbe ?

Maybe other users had the same problem some time ago.
Have you done a search yet ?

p.s. you don't need the v3 src folder....
