If you read most of these posts, most people care about just being able to play the games, or they keep on asking when is the next Surreal comming out. Now you might want a feel of nostalgia, but if is that important and you wanted that, play the NES and atari that you own, which I own my own.
I hated the NES
controller, and think if there was an older cotroller to be used it would be SNES
controller because of feel and buttons. I don't want to have to press a special combination of buttons to get out of the game when all I have to do is press the right analogue. I truley like the s-
controller. I prefer comfort over nostalgia.
In truth I feel that it would be more of hassle having multiple types of
controllers for a system. I wouldn't want to have to keep switching out
controllers to play different games. The ablity to have the amount of buttons on the xbox
controller allows a player to switch from one program to the next without changing it out for something else. For a little while I'll play be playing Mike Tyson's Punchout, another I'll be play Street Fighter Alpha 3, then I will switch to Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and not to mention my normal xbox games and other emulators.
I don't speak for the gaming audience, and I didn't mean to, but playing a
controller from almost 20 years ago just doesn't excite me much. The atari paddle, I understand that more then the NES
controller, but still doesn't give me a feeling of want as well, but whatever floats your boat.
