Wow, seems like I stepped into a delicate topic. Yes, you are a consumer whore. Xtreme sports are flashy, trendy, and marketable, just like MTV. Why don't we hear about Xtreme swimming, or Xtreme jogging? Because they can't be marketed. Why sell $2 noseplugs when you can market flashy mountain bikes for thousands of dollars? Oh that's right, you do it to "stay in shape". Did you know that swimming is THE BEST form of exercise? Did you know that you can lace up a pair of shoes and run around the block? Yes, it's free and it's exercise! So then you must do it for the exhilaration, right? Weee, I'm 2 feet in the air! Quick mom, take a picture so that I can post it on the boards! That's so damn extreme that I can barely speak.
