Just to confirm that you are both talking about the same thing, are each of you doing the Instant Kill/Fatalaty/No Contest/Finisher thingy after the screen goes red, or the Ultimates that you do at the end of a combo on an opponent with red energy?

I haven't experienced any glitches (I haven't tried that move either), but I thought if there was a distinction between Finishers and Ultimates, it might make it easier to fix for GoGoAckman.

Everybody who's reporting bugs, make sure you have a real v1.5 bios rom and not just a renamed v1.4. The older bios often causes crashes and problems in U64-X and many of the ones floating around the net at the time of its release were 1.4s.

Freezing on the intro screen is caused by having the old v1.4 bios rom. The crackling can be fixed by lowering the volume in the internal game config menu (which you can't access unless you're using bios v1.5).

i can get to the sound menu and ajust the sound volume so i must have 1.5?
and yes the sound is below 80% it will play fine for ages but the occasionally start crackling for 5 or so minutes then go back to normal. and the intro freezing was just when i left it on once.
