well, first, if we're gonna get literal, he didnt ask anyone if he should get a xenium or an x3. nor did he ask what you like better.
he actually asked

I'd like to hear some comments onwhy you purchased the Xenium chip over the xecuter.
i got it because looking through the forums, there was much more useful help on this forum. artifex is always professional. and no, support doesnt hinge on whether he answers or not. there are 3-5 very supportive, and consistent users that post help. they might as well be paid by xodus

also, at the time, it was os based, though it was buggy. but thats been ironed out for the most part.
the install seemed simple enough, and it didnt use switches (x3 was not out at the time. at the time it was during the "its coming, really" phase).
though, i've heard mixed opinions on the x3 chip, i cant bash it since i've never used it. it does have some nice "bling" to it, but that hasnt been important to me. all i know is with the xenium i solder in a pin header, solder a d0, and boot the chip. add a bios, add a dash, and i'm ready to go. with another 5 minutes of work, i can add a new harddrive (i've done a few, and always used the os. never had a problem), and flash a new eeprom. so now i have a modded box ready for live in less than 15-20 minutes (depending on soldering skill, could be 10).
oh yeah, i vote for bmmods as well.
