Best Nintendo System?

IMO the SNES is the best system because i grew up with it and i think Nintendo have been a real letdown for the past few years. I read somewhere that 15 years ago they owned 90% of the gaming industry, now they have less than 30% sad.gif

EDIT: Also i love SNES emulation on the XBOX lol.

NES without a doubt gets my vote, it started it all for nintendo to be the best 8-bit console and then to make the great snes.

who agrees that nintendo has definetly gone down hill though, imo the 64-bit era was a semi-failure and the 128-bit era (which isn't over yet so it could very well change) is a complete failure.

i own a cube also, zelda: ww is the only game i play on it now, and i havent even played that in months. Zelda 2005 is probably gonna be my next and last cube game (that is how often i play it now i have a modded xbox). But when the SNES was out virtually every game for it was a masterpiece (same for NES), but things have changed, nintendos golden years are long gone, and IMO in a few years nintendo will be dead (or part of MS if billy gets his wish)

yeah i have all 4 current gen consoles and the cube is the one with no good games.
only good ones are rogue squadron series, mgs the twin snakes (the reason  i bought a cube and i love this game), metroid prime and zelda.
thats it pared to the mountains of decent games for dc, ps2 and xbox.

thats my 2 pennys (no cents here in england)

i still have that demo somewhere, have you seen the trailer for the new zelda game, its on gametrailers.com, and its got some major ownage! many thought zelda wind waker was a let down, it was okay, but imo nothing can beat ocarina of time, that is still considered one of the best games of all time EVER. nintendo expect the new zelda to beat oot, that will sure be a challenge.

I think SNES was the best followed by NES, then Gamecube, the N64.  Nintendo finally has a system that can techinically compete with it's competitors and they don't have enought first party hits or exclusives that make the Gamecube worth having.  I thought N64 was just a blurry piece of garbage, except for the WCW games and goldeneye.

i agree that nintendos downfall was around the 64bit but thats cuz the president at the time (he quit like a month or 2 later after n64 dropped) chose carts over cds which was the main cause of trouble for n64 with its lack of support where 3rd parties wanted to do more without limits. i will say some games on n64 were great (goldeneye, the wwf/wcw games by aki, re2, zeldas, smash bros.) but i still didn't buy one since i didn't really like it from since test playing mario64 at toys r us (yes i'm one that hated mario64 for being too kiddy and that annoying voice they gave him)

i haven't bought gc yet and prolly won't untill its at $50 (same price i paid for my dc cool.gif ) as it doesn't catch my eye nor does its games really interest except maybe re4 but looking at it now i'm not sure if thats gonna be any good (just questioning the whole rednecks being zombies thing)

I am sickened that THQ hasn't allowed AKI to make another wrestling game for them.  Am I the only one who feels this way?  Those were the best games on N64, the multiplayer experience was second to none.  Now every game has to be made by Yukes and the games just don't feel the same.  They keep trying to capture that gameplay but just cannot.  The N64 did have some good multiplayer action I must say that.  Please THQ let AKI make a new WWE game PLEASEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!  Def Jam is the closest thing we get but who the hell wants to play with these crappy rap guys.
