Surreal 64 Compatibility List

Hi I’m new here,

I have a question about the emulation esp. Zelda MM.
Could it be that the success of the emulation on the Xbox depends
On one of these tree factors:

-   the mod chip in the box
-   the Bios on the Chip
-   or the TV-norm (PAL/NTSC) of the Box

here is why I ask:
I had an Xbox v1.0, 180GB HH (unlocked), Aladin Chip, PAL Version Box, No Idea
which Bios an the Chip. On this Box Zelda MM worked with the surreal64 pretty good
(don’t know anymore which emu). It also played Perfect Dark, but with Wall clippings
and stuff…
I don’t know which version of surreal it was, all the apps where installed for me by the shop who did the mod.
Then I erased/fucked up the EEPROM of the Box by playing around with the  Avalaunch Dashboard settings (don’t ever use restore EEPROM – that sucks if you don’t know what your doing).
I took me a while but I managed to get a new motherboard v1.0 (fund a Box @ eBay that was damaged but MB ok).  But this was a NTSC Box. I had change the power supply unit for the Main board to work in my PAL Box. I also got a new Chip (XChanger v2.5, Bios X2 5035 on the 512k Bank & Evo X (v???) on the 256k Bank).
I was able to Use the HD with all its contend without any changes.
Everything works like before except Zelda MM and PD on that emu.
And I don’t know why…

Has there been some recent omission of the letters J, K, L, and M from the alphabet that I don't know about?

Just at xbscene.  They were banned for offensive language and posting where to download roms.

Jet Force Gemini
Emulator Version: Surreal64 XXX b5
Rom Version: Jet Force Gemini - Kiosk (U) [!]
Rom Settings: default settings, Rice 6.11
Comments: The game runs fine on 1964. Graphics are good but there are a few minor glitches. The annoying black square that replaced your shadow is gone though. The only problem is that your shadow is always displayed on the upper left corner of the screen (I haven't found a way to get rid of that). Kiosk version allows you to run and shoot, unlike the regular version which had that problem. I'm not sure if the kiosk version can be completed, someone has to confirm if they were able to finish the game.
1964: Almost perfect, really smooth, except for the graphical problems above.
Project 64: locks up XBox.
UltraHLE: Not Tested

perhaps you have a bad dump or something??  I dont recall ever having any problems with pilotwings 64, though i could be wrong i will have to go back and check but according to the list there are no errors and runs well from what i gather.  ALso are you using the most recent build>?

I sorted it out after all... just gave some settings a tweak.
Yeah, I'm using the latest build....SurrealXXX b5.

Some of the settings on that list leave a lot to be desired,
I think most of them were geared towards Surreal v1.0.
I might post some settings for the newer version...

Thanks anyway.

a new SURREAL COMPATIBILITY-Site is born......just wrote the hole page yesterday, took me about 1h.....

the hole system is databased, so it's easy to transport the hole game-infos to other sites or reformat it later.....

i could need some help, to fill the database with all games....so if you want help me just send a mail to [email protected]

or visit the page:

For it to only to take you a few minutes, that site is well done...

Expected it to be less than what it is..like I expected to be a text only interface

Commend you on the effort..

Hopefully, it will stay around, and be updated...

I will send you info on the ones I have tested out, probably next week some time.
Still testing out a few...got Donkey Kong 64 going though (a little slow, still working on it)
