Hi Im new here,
I have a question about the emulation esp. Zelda MM.
Could it be that the success of the emulation on the Xbox depends
On one of these tree factors:
- the mod chip in the box
- the Bios on the Chip
- or the TV-norm (PAL/NTSC) of the Box
here is why I ask:
I had an Xbox v1.0, 180GB HH (unlocked), Aladin Chip, PAL Version Box, No Idea
which Bios an the Chip. On this Box Zelda MM worked with the surreal64 pretty good
(dont know anymore which emu). It also played Perfect Dark, but with Wall clippings
and stuff
I dont know which version of surreal it was, all the apps where installed for me by the shop who did the mod.
Then I erased/fucked up the EEPROM of the Box by playing around with the Avalaunch Dashboard settings (dont ever use restore EEPROM that sucks if you dont know what your doing).
I took me a while but I managed to get a new motherboard v1.0 (fund a Box @ eBay that was damaged but MB ok). But this was a NTSC Box. I had change the power supply unit for the Main board to work in my PAL Box. I also got a new Chip (XChanger v2.5, Bios X2 5035 on the 512k Bank & Evo X (v???) on the 256k Bank).
I was able to Use the HD with all its contend without any changes.
Everything works like before except Zelda MM and PD on that emu.
And I dont know why
