I had problems getting BT to load as well. It would load up with a picture of the mountain and some moving water everytime, although the music woud load it would not change the video and I couldnt enter any menus. After looking at the compatibility list it dawned on me to try changing some settings and everything worked fine after I changed the audio pluggin to basic. It does run a little slow at points but it is playable in 1964. I'm using surreal 64 xxx beta 4.9.

Perfect Dark
Surreal XXX 4.9beta
UE!
1964
Rice plugin 5.10: Runs and is playable but textures suffer heavily, cutscences skip on their own but IG cutscenes play with the same In-Game issues. Also some colors are missing and advanced effects (like blurry screen(when you are punched) and green tint (for Camspy,Slayer missles) still display incorrect and as vertical green "static" screen lines.

5.31: More textures are displayed and colors display properly, but ALL cutscenes skip themselves and advanced effects don't work.

5.60: All textures display properly as well as colors, but still ALL cutscenes IG or not skip themselves shortly after running.
Comments: The reason i posted it as blue is because of the advanced screen effects not working and therefore making it extremely difficult or impossible to complete certain mission objectives IE. any that use the Camspy or Slayer missles Framrate still skips the more things are active on-screen.
PJ64 never displays video, you can still IGR back to your DB
UltraHLE lol are you seriously thinking it would run Perfect Dark? No it doesn't and freezes your xbox.

Unfornately no matter how much memory tweeking we do it will not fix textures...only a new plugin seems to work for that. Although it might fix cutscenes skipping and framrate issuses...

Also I wonder why noone has made it where this emulator uses the HD for dynarec storage instead of relying on the RAM? I know the RAM is the fastest way of accesing it but i am sure the has to be a way of making that work....maybe creating a sort of buffer? Then again like almost everything about computers its easier said then done and then ends up in the same results as the last bright idea.

What settings do you use for Donkey Kong 64 on Project 64????

Or, could you elaborate on the 1964 fix?????.

Thanks.

just wanted to point out that in Legend of Zelda:Majoras Mask, there is a glich sort of thing.  There is suppossed to be a timer on the bottom of the screen, there is, but it doesnt tell you what time it is on the clock, just the moon hovering over it with no numbers, maybe the rom itself? idk
And why doesnt Resident Evil 2 not work> are the graphic requirements to high for the emulator?

Cant change it if your using surreal xxx only surreal v.1.  When you select a game it gives you the option to change it.

You can change the max video memory settings on surreal xxx. In fact, ive done it to make Majora's Mask, Banjo and Kazooie, among others running perfectly and Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong....well, those last two are playable, he he.
