Any of the work that oDD and lantus do on surreal will be done with or without money. While im sure that (or atleast i hope) oDD and lantus are human (and hence need/want money) they wouldnt shun away donations, but nothing is required, nor would it motivate either to work faster/better. The true projects are made from love (wow that sounded lame).

As to the moderation comment, i hate to inform you but this is not a democratic internet. You do not govern our policies. It is more like a monarcy, with xantium/hsdemonz being the brother kings, and me a head chancellor. What i say goes. I say that HoRnEyDvL is doing a well job moderating the trash in this thread.

Now, back on topic.

Surreal is of course being worked on regularly, and the progress is good. I've missed oDD over the past week so i dont know how close the release is (as to what i knew from before) but it shant be long ; )

I didn't say it was democratic (nothing's democratic) I said it was lame which it is.

And it isn't 'like a monarchy' it's 'like' a discussion forum and if you mods (cause that's all you are mr. chancellor) are going to edit threads to fit your views of how people should post then you might as well just write the whole thing yourselves.

I'm all for deleting posts which break forum rules and for all I know some of those deleted may have (though I doubt it), but chopping up threads just because they're not 'positive' enough for you is just... lame.

Cleaning the trash? This whole thread is 'trash', that's why the last one was locked. Everything that could be said on the subject had been said and so the discussion just deteriorated.

As soon as anything new regarding Surreal comes along, I'm sure we'll be notified. We know both lantus and oDD are working as hard as they can on it and I'm sure we all wish them well as we do XPort and GoGoAckman and anyone else contributing to the scene.

I really have to agree with HoRnEyDvL on this one. I'm rather new as a member on the forums, and consequently probably haven't much of a place to put my two cents in, but i do agree that the forums should try to stay on topic as opposed to getting into psuedo-"politics"....these things are irrelevant and trancend from the accual intention of these particular threads:SURREAL 64 V2!!!!!!!! I'm not a tekkie,and half the time I don't even understand most of the technical jargon that is posted, and I'm sure I'll get scorched for this, but I am just like most others: loving the emulation scene and anxiously awaiting the new release. This forum is how i keep track of that, as I'm sure many others are as well. I don't want to see this thread shut down as well.....

The problem with the last thread however was that you couldn't find any new info. It was 27 pages long (by default) and only about 3 posts had anything usefull in them.

Keep in mind that that compatibility list is for version 1 and not 2. It should give an idea of what will work in version 2 but not a very good idea.
