Looks as like lantus is now excepting donations on sourceforge. Go there and donate to him if you can.

I was thinking that maybe we could donate money to them to give the pc side devs, like so they could get the source for 1964....

or maybe we could just send money to the devs of 1964 requesting they do this ? maybe Lantus or Odd could contact them, and if there was enough interest...

i don't mind throwing a few bucks at them for this via paypal !

its always funny how hard it is to get a donation up for programs like this... there is also the legal aspect of takign money for somehting that ... nintendo coudl possibly get after you about.

Boy, these two Surreal v2 threads have become very disappointing. What happened to all the programming questions that were asked of oDD and Lantus? I rather think the authors enjoyed chiming in, having a chance to answer insightful questions from their "fans."

SpudGunMan is right, Master. Despite your earlier claim that "I learned my lesson from the last topic," you clearly haven't with lines like: "I've already donated thousands of dollars 2 him..." Posts like this add nothing and steer the thread away from the subject at hand.

And the point of me telling Master to get mod permission, SpudGunMan, is that this second thread was borderline Dead On Arrival anyway. I really want to continue the interaction between the knowledgable fans, the curious onlookers, and the authors. But the reality is that if we don't "self-mod" this topic ourselves than it is destined to be closed.

And that's a shame. Before people were posting simply for the sake of posting, the Surreal v2 thread was an interesting mix of conjecture and anticipation; Lantus certainly thought so when he took the time to post the initial screenshots, letting us salivate at their progress. He and oDD haven't posted in a while, and it may be because we've been too busy talking to ourselves and not raising issues to discuss with them. How ironic for a thread that bills itself as being all about Surreal v2.

and yes...oDD and Lantus are very kind to give us their work...
but dont get to serious...theyre not like that.

theyre working in the project so no need to worry...no need to kiss their ass.

i really admire them...but theyre just like us...but greater

HoRnEyDvL, I think that in editing the more disruptive posts to keep the thread going you've made an excellent compromise.

Wake up, people. This thread has been on the decline for a week now. Be thankful HoRnEyDvL is even letting it continue. (I myself am happily surprised.)

Still no update to the Surreal v2 "To Do" list? No updates since July 23rd. Hmmm.....
