Console roms dont work with updated romsets silly, its only that way with arcade romsets.

The goodutils only rename the roms to the correct name, nothing else.
and every new release adds more known roms.

Actually you are wrong

For example in one GoodN64 release the following rom:

Super Mario 64 (U) [!]

can end up being:

Super Mario 64 (U) [o1]

etc...

so if they find out that the mario (u) rom really is a (u) (o1) rom it just renames it.
there is nothing changed like there is with mame romsets, its all about renaming.
