Pretty sweet to see someone working on this again smile.gif KI is probably my fav fighting game back in the day .

ditto wink.gif I would be very happy to see an increase in KI2 myself too, though I do prefer KI1 myself

TJ Combo's 'punch into the screen' finisher never worked in the original and it still doesn't.

QUOTE (MeccaChild @ Aug 10 2004, 01:45 PM)
Since you guys got KI2 running maybe you can show me a thing or two to help me get it started. I have it loaded with the u64x emu on my xbox but all its giving me is this red screen. Can anybody help me out?? I still have the kinst2.chd file. What am I doing wrong?

I had this problem....it turned out that one of the files from the rom was named wrong... it should have been ki2-l11u98 or something  but it was named li2-l11u98

so I changed the l to a k and it worked.....try it out

I don't know if it was the u98 one or another, but just check to see that none of them are named li instead of ki

and by the way,

the real time 3d stages in KI2 are 60fps, the pre-rendered are only about 35fps.

there is a speed cheat, so that the game runs in ultra speed.

then the rendered stages are almost like 100% speed, but the realtime stages are way too fast.

mhh, if there would be a way to let the game automatically choose the speed cheat for the stages, the game would be almost like the original.

or maybe an autoframeskip for only those stages..

just some thoughts..

but KI1 almost perfect ist enough for me ;-)
