the flubber screen is the green screen that comes up when you boot the xbox with the modchip the regular screen with the flubber type thing and then the X with MS underneath it.

Does it do that with the Mod Chip on?  If so, I would look into upgrading both the bios and the Xenium OS.  Maybe even a complete fresh install.

it does the freeze with the modchip on and off
the os is 2.2.1 so that can't be the problem.
as for the bios m7 is fairly new

I recommend this - sell your xbox for cheap $ to me.

No, try reflashing bios again - it Xenium OS it's okay adn you can boot MS Dash - then the problem is Avalaunch files - if you can connect using FTP - go to Xenium OS stay there - go to your pc and connect FTP and send the files again to C:/drive - then clise FTP - go to your xbox - turn off xbox and turn on again - try going to Avalaunch and let see what happend

Does that concern anyone other than me?  I'm not sure why the xenium would be able to boot the ms dash fine but your xbox with out the chip wouldn't.  Only reason i can think of is the bios on the tsop is bad, but that shouldn't cause crashes during an M7 boot cause the tsop is bypassed by the modchip.

I'd be interested to know if u flashed ur xenium with ur tsop again and booted it, if the MS dash would work.  But then again that would only make ur problems worse if it didn't so i wouldn't recomend doing it lol.

I know I haven't helped at all!  But here's a long bump for ya ;-)

I am unsure of what to say... freezing at the blubber screen... even with the chip out...

This doesn't have anything to do with Ava or his BIOS, or else it would work fine without the chip in.

Do you have any dents in your motherboard or something (*just guessing from here*)

When you say it is crashing without the chip, are you getting an error screen or just a black screen, are the xbox led' flashing, or what?

Once you get to the OS can you ftp in and see the hd and all the partitions. Try copying files to and from each partition, I know you tried copying the Avalaunch files, but check each partition. Also did you rename the msdash xbe?  The problem with freezing could be a HW failure like memory.

This would imply the tsop is bad, but not why the avalaunch is not working. You could try getting another Ms bios and flashing it to see what happens.

i'd work on the chip problem first.  cuz even if your tsop is screwed, the chip should still work.  reflash the os.  then remove all bios on the chip.  flash 2 new ones, try m8 and an xecuter one like 4981.06.  make sure everything is configured to find ava.  if you can get the chip to work, then move to the next problem of the tsop.  though i find it weird that you said it will launch the retail from the chip, but not with the chip out, considering the bios for retail remains on the mb and the chip just reroutes you to it.
