Xport's Mameox Has New Bug?

If this is my current setup, I would love to be let known... but I am currently having issues with my control scheme. That is... every time I change my controls for a game in what I THINK to be 'controls for this game,' it happens to change the controls for EVERY GAME.

Case in point: Gyruss... I can use the A button to shoot, and that's great. That's what I like. For Assault, I want to use the right trigger, so that I can use the sticks (same deal with SmashTV, right?).

But, when I go to 'controls for this game,' every value has a white backing, as if every value has been personally tweaked... problem is, when I change the values, it changes them for every game.

I'm assuming something must've slipped in the latest porting, as no other mame port had this issue.

Please look into this as soon as possible. It might be a quick fix.

  Try this if you don't think you have this problem:  Find a game that you have 2 versions of the same game....a parent / clone set. Then change the setting on one of them to something complely screwy.  Then play the OTHER version of the game......it will also have the same screwy controls you put on the first one.

  I'm not implying this is a parent / clone connection. It is just an easy way to demonstrate the bug. I do beleve that EVERYONE has this bug. It just isn't so obvious that everyone notices it.

BTW... playing Gyruss is the only thing that's keeping me from being pissed about the control issue. It's quite pacifying. You folks having issues with Mame's lacking... you should try this.

So, I've tried to monkey around with the settings, and have learned that no matter which 'input' screen I try, I end up changing the values for every game. If this isn't a problem for you, try playing a capcom fighting game. Set it up for six-button fighting (my way would be to have it be XYWhite, ABBlack), and then play a shooter, and see if you can still shoot using the same button you used to.

The answer will be an emphatic no.

I'm done. It's too bad I don't know how to fix it.
