The listed versions are just what was tested.   Without a new wave of serious help I doubt everything will ever be tested, and so much doesn't work that it's not really worth it to do a bunch of games nobody would play anyways.

Try the Squaresoft games and a lot of other RPGs.  Kings Field I and II work great, so do the Soul Reaver games.  A lot of great games play 100% or close to it.

Check out my updated compatibility spreadsheet in the first post of my thread in my sig.

Thanx for the input. Sorry about the whole format thing. I ripped the game using cdrwin at 1x speed into .bin and .cue files. I'm just curious if the game can work on the xbox.

Er, do you mean v20? That one doesn't affect game compatibility.

X COM NTSC Bin/Cue Seems to run perfectly after fiddling around with some settings.  Need to Turn Frameskip OFF and Use PC FPS Calculation ON.  Played it through one mission without any freezes with these settings after having freezes before.  Of course this is with the new v20

I'm beginning to get the feeling that many of the non working games even as recently as v18 might now work fine.  I'm saying this based off XCOM mostly because I personally spent days testing that mothafugga and it wouldn't budge.  It would crash at or around the same point EVERY time.  So what's different now you ask?  Well it's loading everything quickly, the aliens are wussies and ambush you, killing your beloved soldiers.  It's just the way it's supposed to be.  I did have a little problem initially using 1.5 standard and it booted to black screen with sound.  When this happens I've found it helpful to turn Framskipping OFF then you get picture.  I also decided to try 1.6 which also works.  During the first battle I had a problem with the blinking cursor used in the game to select what you want, it stuck, nothing would move it but it kept on blinking and I could exit out so it didn't crash.  -Use PC FPS Calculation seems to do the trick.

Unfortunately someone else is reporting it still not working so I'm not sure if it's their image or not.  I'm going to give it some extended play today and see what happens.

Seems v20 is the SHIZZLE! biggrin.gif

I think from memory, that v20 only had changes to things that wouldn't affect games playing...
But your correct in the fact that play with enough settings & some games come to life!
My own experience showed me that when I got Jumping Flash 1 & 2 going..couldn't believe it really.
Good testing there Sotu...  biggrin.gif

Well, it shouldn't affect emulation. I think. Maybe I had to make a few other changes to make the thing compile. Maybe.  unsure.gif

I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if you grabbed a copy of v19, tried your same settings on that, and found X-COM worked there too.  huh.gif

Hmm interesting notion, I'll try that.

I played Xcom for a few more hours last night after work and am happy to say there were no problems other than getting owned by aliens.  I think the PSX version is a bit tougher than it's dos predecessor.

There was actually a bug in the DOS version that made it so that the difficulty level would always flip to Beginner after the first mission. The final patch (1.4) fixed it.

The PSX version lets you open doors without going through them. Take advantage of that. Also note that kneeling really does make a difference, both to your odds of getting hit, and to your odds of hitting your targets.

Ha!  I only ever played it on beginner even though I've probably beat it 5 times in my life.

Maybe I should bump up the difficulty level this time?

Those sneaky bastards always ambush me when I do that.   grr.gif
