Ftp Speeds

I dont know if this is the right forum, but i guess you could concider it. I FTP alot of my roms back and forth from xbox to pc. I am just wondering what speeds you guys get when FTPing. I am using a Straight through cable and a router for my FTPing. I usually get about 1068.xx kb/s. I read a tut. that got damn near 9 mb/s!!! I tryed that Tut. and still only got (even less than normal) 1010.xx kb/s.
I am just asking maybe for some help, but mostly just wondering what you guys get as an average speed.

You have got a 10/100 Mbps card haven't you?

If you only have a 10 Mbps card you'll only get a meg a second.

I get 6-9 meg a sec to the xbox and 11meg a sec from the xbox 2 xbox (Using avalaunch).

Before you post, you need to know speeds. You have Failed wink.gif

Kb/s is kilobits per second.
KB/s is KiloByte per second (8 bits to a byte)

Mb/s is MegaBits per second
MB/s is MegaBytes per second.

So 9 mb/s is pretty slow for FTPing to the Xbox. Thats about 720 KB/s. I usually get 12 MB/s
