HD Support works fine for me. I just made an HDF Image with real UAE on PC (already had tried to make it work with uaeX) and selected it via "Select Game". When you now check the Harddrive Support in Configmenu, you see the HDF selected. Make sure that your Image is bootable (installing WB) and select the right ROM Image (WB 1.2 -> ROM 1.x-3.1, WB 2.x-3.x -> ROM 2-3.x).
Selecting the right processor does count as well, but the full isntructions will be found on the net.

I wonder why I get a 0MB FastRam, although I chose 1MB, after WB or HDF Image has booted. Thus makes many programms and newer Demos unstartable. Is this a bug, or did I miss an option? sad.gif
BTW. Why can't I select 2MB of Fastram, as the A1200 has?  bdaybiggrin.gif

could you please post in your cd32 list if you are using orirginal cds or images, maybe the filetype of the images also. why not start a special tread for this, so that other people can post there experience, like the surreal compatibility tread.
thx

Great Emulator XPORT... Sorry I've missed it's initial release.... so if these questions have been answered I do apologise..

Firstly, a selfish one but has anyone here managed to get a mouse working?
I have a logitech cordless kb/mouse set.. and they both go on the 1 usb port... the keyboard is working fine, but the mouse aint... do I have to change the config ... or is this a known limitation? (kinda like using a hub?)

As for features they look great, my only questions would be is there any potential for
RTG Picasso support?
The little on screen led lights u get on WinUAE showing disc access?
The Floppy speed setting slider in WinUAE?
Are GZIPPED ADZ's working ? Mine don't seem to (If it's not on the horizon I'll just recompress)
Is it possible to change the resolution of the emu to 800*600?

Great work XPORT I'm absolutely stoked with this emulator, the hardfile support is amazing... I don't know why people are so concerned with trying to use directories for harddrives ... as we can't defrag you're much better off with a hardfile!

cool.gif I think it's somewhat dangerous/hackish to fiddle with that setting and I suspect I'd be hearing a lot more from people who have managed to screw up their xboxs by fiddling with the option if I put it into my standard GUI.

dandee - you can create blank HDF images from the In-Game menu too - no need to do so on a PC.  As someone else pointed out, you cannot have fastram if your chipram is > 2MB.  Amiga 1200 has 2MB of chipram - not fastram.

blackadda - picasso - maybe ; mouse+keyboard on hub - I've heard many reports that hubs don't play well with xboxs - best to use 1 controller port for each keyboard/mouse ; on-screen LEDs - already supported ; floppy speed - selectable between 100% and Turbo ; gzipped ADZ - not yet ; change resolution to 800*600 - the screen size/position is completely customizable

vood - if we're talking about 1 frame skipping occassionally, I seriously doubt I'd be able to notice since my eyes aren't that great.  Anyone else notice this or is this only something that purists would notice?

By the way - I just found out that there is a bug in v3.  WinUAEX will actually crash if you try to play an ISO before you try to play a real CD.  I don't know how this escaped my testing and I am even more surprised that no one has mentioned it yet.  (Although maybe those people are keeping quiet because they suspect the problem is on their end.)

Actually, it may only crash occasionally depending on the state your XBox is in when you start WinUAEX.  Anyway, it's fixed and will be out in v4.

I don't know if we are talking about the same thing, But I already stated some posts above..That if I load a iso right from the start it will just hangs at the loading screen.
I solved it by first start up with no cd or iso loaded..so only the cd32 start up screen, quit back to menu and than I can start iso's without any probs.

Just got done having a proper play with this emu, all I can say is WOW!

Managed to install WB3.1 + MUI + ClassAct + NewIcons + Scalos + MagicMenu + Dopus + WHDLoad all without any problems. Thats a good enough WB setup for me! WHDload games that I have tried (my main reason for install WB in the first place) all work great.

Thanks once again Xport!

re: CD32 compatibility - For the ones people have been listing as "not working" you really need to try them again many, many times.  CD32 games will sometimes not boot correctly or not start correctly.  For example, I see Chuck Rock 1 listed as not working, but it works fine for me.

I will test it out xport.

I'm still testing some other iso's at the moment too.
Will update the list tonight.

re: switching to PAL mode while in NTSC.  It's obviously doable, but I have no interest in adding this feature because A) hardly anyone will use it and cool.gif I think it's somewhat dangerous/hackish to fiddle with that setting and I suspect I'd be hearing a lot more from people who have managed to screw up their xboxs by fiddling with the option if I put it into my standard GUI.

Well, I didn't know if it was doable without dirty hacks, especially using only software and not fiddling with EEPROM settings. But since it's proven that the PAL50 display is the best video mode for ultra smooth scrollings, I guess that all our NTSC friends should find it very useful for perfect emulation. So I would not say that "hardly anyone will use it " wink.gif

Anyways, you decide wink.gif

Great work! I always wished to know more about Amiga, and nothing better than do it with great style. This new option to turn off flicker filter is just amazing! The difference is stunning. For me it's a little hard now to go back to other emulators, because as good as they are, this flicker filter was the missing part.

Thanks XPort!

If somebody is looking for Amiga games database, please check http://hol.abime.net/. Unfortunately, it is not available offline in any form at this moment.

One minor thing: I like that in your newer ports the filenames aren't formatted all to lower-case anymore, but could you also put in an option to hide the file-extensions? It would make the gameslist a little bit nicer to look at.

Great idea indeed.
