has anyone heard anything about an ngage
this seems like something that won't make it  ;)

i know that theres no emulator for the pc yet..... or at least not that i know of
but would this be possible to emulator on the xbox

i haven't played one of these yet so i really can tell if the xbox can handle it or not, but from what i see on the commercials it looks like a ps1

so does anyone know anything about this, the specs maybe, so i know if its even possible to put on the xbox
that IF anyone has played this  <_<

the only store that ive seen it in was this hick store in the mall
so i guess its a secret handheld

well, it really doesn't matter if the game is different
it would still be cool to play games that you haven't played before on the xbox

like the master system, thats not to appealing and alot of the games are the same on the genesis, so why get a master system emulator

i really don't want to argue on how ngage games suck. i know they look shittier than the originals but its still something to look forward to. i mean you emulate a ps2 on the xbox so maybe i want to play a ps2 game thats alittle altered and with less graphic detail then not play the game at all

As memory serves, the ngage software runs on Symbian OS.  I guess therefore it's Symbian OS that you'd be wanting to run and I just don't really see how or why this would be worthwhile, considering most Symbian OS apps are designed for mobile devices.

That said, "if" it happens, it'll be on PC first and there's no reasons to assume that it would be ported or open source.

The graphics suck. And everything with it seems very lame.
I'm pretty sure they hacked it so there are other phones capable of running the same games. So I assume it would be possible, but people probably don't care enough.

Sure those N-Gay games look like crap, but at least with that ported over ("if" it happens to come out with a pc version) then at least we can get as many emu's as possible to play, as sometime our minds might twist & want to play something like the n-gage emulator, besides we might not only want to play the n-gage games but also the java & symbian games that will be fun for awhile to mess around in.

OFFTOPIC
Actually is there even any stand-alone Java VM, Flash, Shockwave players for the xbox as there is some fun games on pc of those content that will be great to collect, like that Alien Ressurection 3D which is a great adventure fps in flash/shockwave.

maybe if the thing was created from scratch as so carcharius did with spextrum

like fusionx said on how we want to get as many emus as possible on the xbox, and maybe someday we might want to try it out

also has anyone played this thing for real, is it even capable to be emulated on the xbox

QUOTE (deathx88 @ Jun 26 2004, 07:46 PM)

Well i happened to own one (i sold it straight after i tested all the games) that i won at a Nokia contest, i got 2nd place.

The N-Gage runs on a 104mhz cpu processor (which i think will be the biggest mhz wise if the xbox runs it) with Symbian OS 6.1 (also has J2ME runtimes installed, dont know which version) & 16 Mega-Bytes of RAM

For those that never played the n-gayge, games are as follows:

Virtua Tennis (perfect gba port, no extras. not to bad game, should of made it a sub below the dc version tho)
MLB Slam (a normal baseball game, what you gonna do?)
Sega Rally (a saturn port, good game, shame the draw distance aint great)
Pandemonium (a ps1 port with a new time trials mode but only for online play)
Moto GP (a ps1 clone of said game)
Super Monkey Ball (a gba port but with updated gfx)
Tomb Raider (a exact port of the ps1 tr game with new feature to record vids of you playing)
Rayman 3 (perfect gba port, no extras)
Red Faction (a dumbed down version of its big bros, this game dont use no geomod, its crappy)
Fifa 2004 (ps1 port of fifa 99/2000 engine with 1camera view & updated licence)
Ncaa 2004 (a port from the older series on ps1 with same as above)
Tony Hawks (a port of the ps1 version, great game, now portable with all music tracks & 3d)
Splinter Cell (gba port with team play added)
Puyo Pop (theres one of these on every system, tetris clone with blobs)
Puzzle Bubble Vs (another game on every system, a match the colors game)
Sonic N (gba port, with new full/widescreen option)
Doom (also on every system, old 90's game, its ok. great for portable deathmatching)
Ashen (the only orginal game on n-gage thus far, a 3d fps game with a horror theme...didnt doom have a horror theme?!?)
The Sims (a gba port with extra items in shops & new mini games)

WOW! i can tell that things not going to make it big

i can understand wanting to play a ps1 game in your hand, but theres not point on porting over a GBA game, that things hand held already
not unless you want to play wireless multiplayer

so i guess it wouldn't be worth it because theres only ONE game thats made from its own

maybe waiting for more games then it could be worth it
