« on: June 25, 2004, 03:08:00 AM »

ok i installed surreal 64 and i have som roms but i cant play them yet. i need to know how to configure the  ultra.ini  so please please help me, i really want to play the games i used to play ont N64.

my ultra.ini is like this:
///          --------------------------------------------
// ------------------------ Rom Images --------------------------
//          --------------------------------------------
// Change this path to where you have your ROM images
// For Example:
// If your Ultrahle Directory is c:\ultrahle
// Make a directory called "roms" ie c:\ultrahle\roms
// Type "roms" below and this is where you should put your roms into.
// eg.
//
//
rompath=e:\emulators\Surreal64\roms (this is where i have my roms but im not sure if this is how i had to write it)
//          --------------------------------------------
// ----------------------- Save States --------------------------
//          --------------------------------------------
// Change this path to where you want to store save games (save/load state)
// For Example:
// If your Ultrahle Directory is c:\ultrahle
// Make a directory called "save" ie c:\ultrahle\save
// Type "save" below and this is where you save states will be or
// where you should move them.
// eg.
//
//
savepath=e:\emulators\Surreal64\saves

before it used to be like this: (i erased the example (eg.) cuz i wasnt sure what to do)

///          --------------------------------------------
// ------------------------ Rom Images --------------------------
//          --------------------------------------------
// Change this path to where you have your ROM images
// For Example:
// If your Ultrahle Directory is c:\ultrahle
// Make a directory called "roms" ie c:\ultrahle\roms
// Type "roms" below and this is where you should put your roms into.
// eg.
//    rompath=roms
//
rompath=D:\roms\n64ren
//          --------------------------------------------
// ----------------------- Save States --------------------------
//          --------------------------------------------
// Change this path to where you want to store save games (save/load state)

just the above bit looks ok.

you might want to delete the surreal game save (using the m$ dashboard) & then restart surreal, beacuse their is a copy of the ini file in the game save
