Hi,
i have a problem saving games with pcsxbox...
I tried on 2 games,and the same thing happens:Suikoden 2 and final fantasy 7: I play for a while,and save at a save point...it says memory card need to be formated.it formats it,and then seems to save well (i still can load and everything during playing)
But,when i turn off the console,and want to play/load the save game,it says again that the memory card needs to be formated (and there is no saved game in it...)
I tried,after saving,to look on my xbox hdd to see if i could find the savegame file with no luck...
Can anyone tell me how to save for "real"?
Did i do something wrong?

do not turn off the xbox when youre in pcsxbox
first get out to the dashboard..
and now you can shut off the x

the thing is that is what i do...
I first save through the game..then through the emu menu i choose exit game...then back to dashboard,and turn off the xbox...still no save to load after

maybe try using a different memory card slot and also try another game

ok,that's what i wanted to do...but haven't been able to figure how it works...i know you have slots,and you can either do it in game,or through the emu menu...so,i tried through the menu,selected "save states" ...quit everything...turn off xbox,and tried the "load states" through the menu while running the game and nothing happens...

anything i'm doing wrong?

@deathx88: i tried slot 1 & 2...same..should i try some more slots? anyone ever had this problem?.
The thing i don't understand,is that i can't even find the savegame file on my hdd..

damn youre confused.

just save the state...

then exit game...

then return to launcher

done.

when you want to play again

launch pcsxbox

launch the bin you want

click right thumstick

game utilities

load state

done.

i am confused that's for sure

i just tried the save state:
I start the emu,lauch the bin,start playing for 2 mins...click right thumstick,choose "save state" in the menu,it says "state saved,click B"...i quit everything to the dashboard,restart the emu,launch the same game,click right stick,choose "load state",it says:"state loaded,click B"...and then,after that,nothing happens in the game,still at the start as if i had done nothing with the "load state"...any idea? am i again doing something wrong?

I forget if I changed the *.ini file or not, but in my pcsxbox folder i have a folder named 'saves'...maybe i changed the ini file to store all save states/mem cards there, but thats where they are placed on my box, and ive never had a problem with save states or memcards...never even had to change memcard slots like some suggest you must for certain games.
