Xbox Repair Center?

Hey all.  a buddy has a xbox that is having DVD errors.  I am thinking of opening it up and cleaning it out to see if that helps.  He said it has had issues since new, but I thought it is worth a try at least.

Will the MS repair center work on an xbox if it has been opened??

what are you smoking???? NO they will not work on an xbox that has been opened.
